Chapter12

After that surprising turn of events the whole group forgot about Travis Kaln and what he may have been looking for to start planning a wedding. Chloe and Stacie were gonna look for a wedding dress, the flowers and the cake, Nick and Brian were in charge of the guys clothes, Kevin was in charge of the reception, and Howie and AJ were supposed to work on the music and the arrangement of the wedding. Everyone started looking in every little shop. The girls found the perfect dress for Stacie after she tried on the second one. (Click here to view the dress)

"WOW! Stace that's really beautiful." Chloe pointed out when Stacie came out.

"Yea it is. Hey and it's in my budget! High five!" the two girls laughed and clapped hands. After purchasing the dress and a headpiece that resembled a tiara they headed to a different shop to find Chloe a dress. While the girls were taking care of their business, the guys had decided to all combine their jobs so they could spend some extra time together. They had been fitted, rented their tuxes, started the guest list of people to call and tell and were headed to a potential reception site. They had all agreed to meet at a restaurant for dinner at 7:00 PM.

At 6:30 the girls were on the other side of town talking to the florist. "We don't really need a lot. I just need two bouquets, 5 boutonnieres and a couple of table arrangements. Can't that be done by early on Saturday? This is really important." Stacie was pleading with the florist.

"First of all young lady calm down. Second of all I think you're a little young to be getting married. And third, I really don't like your attitude." The florist was an older woman of about 65. Chloe pulled the florist aside to speak with her while Stacie sat with eyes closed imagining the worst wedding possible. A few moments later the florist came back and said she'd do it. "It'll be about $130.00. $50 for your bouquet, $30 for hers and the boutonnieres are $10 a piece. I have a few arrangements that were cancelled on at the last minute you can have." Stacie was so overcome with excitement she hugged the lady and squealed a thank you. As they walked out, Stacie was interested in what Chloe had told the lady that made her change her mind. "Oh I told her that when we came to pay her we'd bring her an autograph from the Backstreet Boys and she said if we could do that she'd give us the flowers for half. I didn't tell her you were MARRYING Nick, so we kind of have an advantage but only having to pay $65 on flowers isn't gonna be to bad." Chloe said laughing. Stacie about died laughing.

"You are a piece of work. I can't believe my luck! AHHH! I'm so excited!" she said as the girls made their way to the restaurant. The guys were the first ones there by five minutes. They were definitely glad they had their bodyguards with them because apparently every newspaper staff person was at the same restaurant that night. The girls walked in and found their table. They were on a private room. When Stacie told them how much the flowers were gonna be they couldn't believe it. "Where exactly are you getting these flowers from?" Nick asked a little shocked. Stacie told him and then handed him a piece of paper to write his name on. She told him the agreement that Chloe had struck with the florist and all the guys eagerly signed. They got through dinner with no interruptions and got back to the campus.

That night they remembered they needed to talk to somebody about the intruder they'd had on the bus. They told the bodyguards when it happened so they decided they should call management and tell them. That didn't go too well. Management said even though they'd finished their tour they need to come back to Orlando to take care of that. They told them they expected to see them bright and early Monday morning.

"Well at least you'll get a one day honeymoon." AJ said trying to brighten mood.

"Actually," Kevin said interjecting, "We'll have to leave on Sunday if we're to be in the office Monday morning." He continued looking at the floor. Nick and Stacie were looking at the floor.

"Well, I'll just go back with you. I really don't have to be here at the college for another couple of weeks, so I can just leave with you. After we get this straightened out, we can rent a room at that really nice hotel by the beach and have our honeymoon in Florida." Stacie said wrapping her arms around Nick's waist.

"I think that's a great idea. But, uh, where will I be? I was supposed to be back a week before you to start my Psych seminar. I worked my butt off to get in that class too." Chloe said, upset her roommate and best friend just up and decided to leave.

"Chloe, you can come too, for a week and come back and then in a week you'll see me again." Stacie pointed out.

"And you'll be able to come with me." Kevin said grabbing Chloe's hand and bringing it to his lips. Chloe smiled. She put her head on his shoulder and smiled.

"Yeah, you're right. This has just been a very interesting couple of weeks, I just I dunno, maybe I do need to leave and come back. I think I need a vacation from my vacation."

After figuring out all the travel arrangements, Chloe, Stacie, and Nick started on the guest list. Stacie had said she wanted it small so they weren't gonna have too many people. "Well obviously, my mom and dad and brothers and sisters." Nick said writing them down.

"And I'm gonna call my dad. Chloe will already be there. I also couldn't do this without my friend Sophie. Remember her Chlo? She's the one that helped me out when I had that project due, and we like procrastinated like crazy so we were up all night?" Stacie started laughing as she remembered what happened. The girls agreed she had to be there.

"Well I feel bad now." Nick said.

"Well why?" Chloe asked.

"Because practically my whole family's gonna be here and Stacie just gonna have like three people."

"Nick, sweetie. Listen, every other person in the world I would want to be there is already gonna be there. I wouldn't care if it were just me, you and the fence post. I'd be making an incredible step to start a new journey." Stacie said looking into his eyes and kissing him. "I'm gonna go call my dad okay?" Stacie said getting up to use the phone.

Stacie talked to her dad and arranged all the plans. "Hey Stace? What about your mom?" Nick asked from the other room.

"Nick you know she already doesn't like me in this relationship. She'd completely lose it if I told her we were getting married. She's always tried to control my life. The first step I took away from that was coming to this college. She wanted me to go to her college, and become a accountant just like her. But that wasn't my dream. I had to follow my heart or she would have squashed my dream again." She was now standing in front of him. "I'll tell her sooner or later. Maybe it'd be a great birthday present." Stacie joked. Nick laughed.

"Oh your terrible." He said grabbing her in a big hug.

"I know but you're stuck with me." Stacie said laughing.

"Oh no not quite yet. It's only Tuesday." Nick laughed. They then fell over the side of the couch and laughed.
