Chapter3

Chloe felt a little self-conscience about telling the guys where she lived but she was just glad to be having this amazing experience. On the way to her house Chloe was talking to everybody and she didn't know it but she & Stacie were making a lasting impression on all of the Boys. They pulled into Chloe's driveway and unloaded. Chloe had had to give Kevin her address and phone number for insurance but he'd written it down for his use too. Nick was having a heck of a good time sitting in the back snuggling with Stacie. They were sitting so close you needed a crowbar to pull them apart. Although that could probably be contributed to the fact that the vehicle was small and everyone was squished. "Well Chloe, Stacie, we have enjoyed meeting you two and getting to know y'all. The circumstances were a little funny but, ya know it's been cool." Brian said when they pulled into her driveway.

"So we have a date this Monday right?" A.J. asked calm and cool. Chloe and Stacie both blushed.

"Yeah we do. We'll be there, bright and early. Say, about 6?" Stacie said.

"Six would be great, that way we can go to dinner before the show." Nick said putting his arm around Stacie. He gave her a hug and said bye to Chloe. Chloe walked around to the driver's side door and told Kevin bye. "Hey, thanks for everything you've done. You guys are really sweet." She said smiling. He laughed, "You-don't-know-us-very-well-do-you?" in his smile, Chloe had felt little tingling sensations surging through her body. "Well, Chloe you take care and I will see you in 4 days. And hopefully after that too." Kevin said grabbing her hand. He shook it, being the southern gentleman he was and smiled a funny smile at Chloe before driving off. Stacie stood by Chloe looking a bright shade of pink and couldn't help but squeal when they were out of sight. "AHHH! NICK KISSED MY CHEEK!" she said brightly. Chloe was however in her own little world thinking of the wonderful things she was feeling towards this guy who had physically bumped into her.

After both girls had calmed down some, they went inside Chloe's house. Chloe's mom was home by now and resting in the living room. "Hi Mom," said Chloe.

"Hello Mrs. James," said Stacie.

"Hello girls," she replied, smiling.

"How was your day?" she asked.

Stacie and Chloe looked at each other and said at the same time, "Pretty good." and both began laughing. Chloe's mom looked at them and smiled at them.

"So I heard. Your dad told me what happened," she said. "Did you get everything worked out?"

"Yup," said Chloe. "Everything's in order. We even managed to get into the concert next week."

"You did?" Chloe's mom looked surprised.

"Yup. You see, there was a really long line for tickets, so the guys decided to let us be their guest and come backstage with them before, after and during the concert," explained Chloe. Chloe was doing most of the talking while Stacie was remembering Nick and his hug and kiss on the cheek. "Well," said Chloe "We're going to my room and hang out for a while." She started towards the stairs. Stacie was still in her dream world. "Stacie, Stacie, this is Earth calling Stacie, please come in Stacie," said Chloe, waving her hand in front of her face.

Stacie shook herself awake and said, "Oh yeah, see ya later Mrs. James." and followed Chloe to her room. They sat in her room looking at magazines and listening to, you guessed it, the Backstreet Boys. Around 5 o'clock, they decided it was time for Stacie to go home. Chloe walked her to the door and waved good-bye as Stacie walked to her house a few doors down.

After a night of peaceful and wonderful dreaming, both girls awoke the next morning smiling and practically floating on air. Chloe walked downstairs and managed to fix her breakfast but couldn't eat it. Stacie had gotten up and immediately started playing her two favorite B58 CDs while she got ready. Both girls had the some thing on their mind. There were only 3 more days until the concert. On Monday, July 12th they'd leave Chloe's house at 5:30 and go to eat dinner with one of the hottest acts in the world. "Hello?" Stacie said answering her phone.

"STACIE! Guess what!" It was Chloe she sounded even more happy and excited than she normally did. "Guess who just called me." Chloe asked. In Stacie's mind she could see Chloe sitting on her bed with the biggest grin on her face. "Who?" Stacie asked wondering what had sent Chloe into ecstasy.

"Kevin. He called to see if I wanted to go shopping and show him around. Isn't that sweet?" Chloe had to be the most hopelessly romantic person Stacie knew. A guy could score major points for doing something small and simple for Chloe, like bringing her a flower or writing her a letter. "Really? Wow, you go girl." Stacie was happy but couldn't help feel a twinge of jealousy.

"AND," continued Chloe, "He said last might on the bus the guys could hear Nick talkin in his sleep and he said 'Stace? Stacie? Ohh Stacie!'" Stacie turned bright red at the sound of hearing this.

"Did he really or did you add that?" Stacie asked Chloe. Chloe rolled her eyes. Why didn't Stace believe her? Oh well duh, cause it was NICK CARTER and KEVIN RICHARDSON.

"YES! That's what he told me." Stacie smiled and got all nervous. So... Nick dreamed about her... hmm, wonder what he dreamed?

The two talked a bit more, then Chloe had to go get ready to meet Kevin. Stacie pondered Nick's questionable dream for a while attempting to find something to eat, even though she probably wouldn't eat it anyway. Chloe, on the other hand, was trying to find the perfect outfit to wear to meet Kevin. After trying on a few different things, she finally settled on jeans and a shirt so she'd be normal. She was just finishing up when she heard a car honk outside. She peeked out the window and saw Kevin in a rented car. She couldn't help but shriek a little when he smiled at her when he saw her peeking out. Chloe grabbed her purse and headed out the door to where he was waiting. While Chloe showed Kevin around town, Stacie was sitting at home, completely bored. She was watching MTV and making faces as yet another rap video came on when the phone rang. She lazily reached over and picked it up. "Hello?" she said.

"Hello, is Stacie Redson there?" said the voice on the line.

"This is she," replied Stacie, betting it was another solicitor.

"Hey Stacie, this is Nick," said the voice. "Remember from yesterday?"

"Oh, hey Nick. Yeah, I think I remember you," Stacie said in a teasing tone.

Nick laughed. "I was hoping you might," he replied. "Anyways, I called you up to see if you wanted to hang out sometime today. Maybe you could show me around town or something?" he suggested.

"Sure," said Stacie, calmly while freaking out inside. "That'd be cool." They made plans for Nick to pick her up at her house in half an hour. "Are you sure you can drive?" said Stacie, teasing him a little.

"I'm a decent driver!" said Nick in mock indignation. "I'm just not that good at driving the bus." Stacie laughed and the two said good-bye.

Meanwhile, Chloe and Kevin were having a wonderful time at the mall. Chloe was sure that she had died and gone to Heaven. Kevin was telling her about some of the more interesting things they had seen and done so far on the tour and just about everything else. Chloe discovered they had many things in common. The two wandered around the mall, mostly window shopping, but occasionally popping in a store here and there. To both of their surprise, the fans left them alone for the most part. A few asked for autographs, but not many. When Kevin began holding her hand as they walked through the mall, it was all Chloe could do to keep her calm. After a while, the mall grew tiresome, so they headed outside to the car. "So," said Kevin as he climbed in the car after opening the door of the car for Chloe "Is there anything else interesting to do here?" he asked.

"Well," said Chloe, thinking. "The fair that comes here every now and then opens up today. We could go check that out." she suggested.

"Sounds good enough to me," he said as he started the car. Little did they know that Nick and Stacie had had the same idea and were already there. The two were currently sharing cotton candy and trying their luck at a few of the games. Nick was trying to win at a ring toss game. His first two tries, the rings missed the poles. "Third time's the charm," he muttered to himself. The third landed perfectly on the pole. "Yeah!" cheered Stacie. The guy running the booth handed Nick his prize, a stuffed brown bear with a bow around its neck. He smiled and gave it to Stacie. "For you my darling," he said with a sweet smile. Stacie blushed and took the bear.

"Thank you," she said as she hugged him. Just then Chloe and Kevin walked up. "Hey you two," said Chloe. "We didn't know you were here."

"We decided to come here and check it out," said Nick.

"Same with us," said Kevin.

"Well, we haven't been on any rides yet, so you guys wanna see what they have?" suggested Nick. They all agreed. After walking a few yards, Stacie got a mysterious grin on her face. "How about that ride?" she said, pointing to a ride just up ahead. "The Tunnel of Love" a sign near the entrance read. "Want to?" she asked Nick with a bit of a smile on her face.

"Sure," said Nick, trying to keep calm.

"What about you two?" said Stacie, turning towards Kevin and Chloe. They looked at each other and at the same time said, "Why not?"

"Then it's agreed," said Stacie as she and Nick led the way to the Tunnel of Love.
