I have some bad news. After 3 1/2 years of doing Activated Magazine, I've decided to hang it up. It's almost as hard for me to give up doing it as it is to keep it going. But I'm just not happy with the way it's going. It's always been a labor of love for the music, but that labor got to be too much for just one person to do. Being a nationally distributed magazine that was FREE, it was too hard to keep selling enough ads to keep things going. Those that supported Activated through the years I can't ever thank you enough. This is not good-bye for good. It may be resurrected one day with help. I am still considering making it just a web-based magazine. That would still take a lot of work, and if you know me I am not one to want to do something on a small scale =P.
Activated Records is taking on a life of its own. #1- Innercourse "Waypoint 1" by Dj Bliss and Brian Stillwater has been getting great press, and was even being played on the Northern Exposure UK tour by the likes of John Digweed, Chris Fortier and Nick Warren. We are still planning to one day start the RadioActivated netcast. We just have our hands full at the moment! Promise.
