reckøning formed in the exeter hotel on valentine's day, february 14th, 1993. their last public performance was at the crown and anchor hotel on the 15th of february 1998. they had three official releases, the first so-called mini-album 'the future is stupid' in 1995, the second 'weird kids' in 1996, and their final release, 'the symbiotic sounds of reckøning' came to the world in 1997. throughout their time as a band, they amassed a large faithful legion of followers in both adelaide and their adopted home (for a while, anyway) of melbourne. they never officially called it a day, but it is generally known that reckøning will not perform again.
matt now plays in a band called brillig with his long-time partner elizabeth reid, and todd hutchinson (career girls, ex-undecided). séamus has moved back to melbourne and is involved in the music scene over there, as well as becoming a vegetarian restaurant entrepeneur. it is rumoured peter has no interest in being in a band again.
