Reasons and rantings...

Okay, many people have inquired as to why i admire Chris Osgood.And now here are my reasons:

He makes his game look easy.(you have to be pretty good to make anything look easy)
He handles critism from the media very well
he does not fold under pressure
He is soft spoken and not overly cocky unlike a certain Avalanche goaltender
he rarely gets caught out of position
He plays for the New York Islanders,and is an EX-Red Wings won the cup 2x.
His looks play a small part in this..:o)

I made a page for him because of the pages i've seen dedicated to him, i felt they were usually lacking something. So i went out, bought a lot of paper, printed out sheets after sheets of HTML tutoring and taught myself to create this page you see before you. Chris Osgood rocks, plain and simple.I wanted to create a page all about him. I've had the pleasure of seeing him play a live game twice now (last year and this year). I've molded my game around his, in hopes of one day being as good as him, but i also want to be my own, that's why my jersey n# is #34, not #30...

And now for some pointless rantings of mine,(with regards to the game)...(i don't mean to offend anyone i just want to air my opinion)
When they say "oh osgood sucks, oh felix potvin sucks etc.." because they let in what everyone else seems to think was a soft goal, that drives me up the wall. what you may think is a "softie" could actually have been a tough one for the goalie, meaning he was not at all prepared for it, caught out of position, or maybe the shot was deflected off another player's stick and it would have taken a reflex matching the speed of light to have gloved it...and if you say that he sucks because he's been on a game losing streak, take a good look at the shots on goal! see if his D is doing their job right or not, see if any offense if being generated...a goalie is not the only reason why the team wins or loses, please try to learn that!plus goalies are human, we are entitled to bad games every now and then...and we also deserve the benefit of the doubt, whether we are young or old, male or female, we should only be judged on our game, not our age or physical appearance...So Kudos to the fans that knew Osgood could handle it, i sure did, and we can be looking forward to another cup pretty darn soon, with the aid of Ozzie.!
