"18 Song Demo" CD
released january 1996
This CD was Wormbath's
first real studio experience. It was recorded in two afternoons
at Dome Studios in Downtown luxurious Royersford, PA by an
interesting guy named Rich, and on a rug stolen from the Dead
Boys. We basically recorded all the songs we had as fast as we
could, leaving any minor mistakes on the CD. Some of which
we didn't even notice because we never sounded so good recorded
before that.
Luckily, Myke's Dad was able to finance
such a project, so we were able to put out 1100 copies of it. The
cover you see here was drawn by Myke and the old packaging itself
was made from heavy pink paper and staples. We also folded many
photocopied inserts, with barely readable words. Myke's
sister Casey and Myke's cousin Tom did the back I think, but I
don't have a scanned copy of that. Basically it had three
horrible yearbook pictures of all three of us, the song names,
and an unusual drawing of Mr. Peanut. Don't ask me
why.
After a little over a year we sold over 1000, bein that we have a
little less than 40 copies left.
We are no longer selling this item in hopes
that each remaining copy will be worth at least a thousand
dollars each in the year 2100. If the world lasts that long...
AHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA...

MRR REVIEW: Neat little homemade packaging which I'm sure is somehow damaging to the CD inside. And that's a shame as this is a really good disc. Great catchy punk and pop punk that often reminds me of "Punkhouse" era SCREECHING WEASEL. Still, more variations on the pop punk thing with sloppy production unhindered by the band's ability. (LH)
I might put up some mp3s or something of some of these old songs, but if you really want a copy you should send me a dollar and a blank tape I guess. We might budge on our 'we're not selling these anymore' thing for the right price.. maybe..
