Wrestler of The Year! CD
Released June 2000

Recorded late 1999 and early 2000, this new CD represents the greatest work yet of the fearsome threesome. Wormbath pounded out 17 soon-to-be classics in their very own studio, in their very own way, with their very own equipment. Produced by Wormbath, Billy Kerchner and Brian Bricklin, this album is the best sound and best playing on a Wormbath record yet. We really made good use of the equipment we had and we took the time to make sure everything sounded right, instead of rushing through everything to get it all done.

We really would have like to have had this CD out WAY earlier, and it's still not on any labels, but I still think it will do quite well. I am writing this about one day before we actually get the actual CDs so we haven't sold any yet, but I have a good feeling about it.

I will add more reviews here as they come in. I myself think it's awesome.

Josh Rutledge from Now Wave Magazine writes:
"I smiled when I opened my mailbox and found a new Wormbth CD waiting for me.

Wormbath was one of my favorite underground pop-punk bands of the 1995-97 "glory period". Its first CD (which was basically a demo pressed onto a CD) and first single were both KILLER pop-punk gems that have endured quite well in the years since ("Always Rain" is one of the greatest pop-punk songs EVER!). Had the band broken up, the world may have forgotten its obscure treasures. But unlike many of their fellow "Class of '95" pop-punkers, Wormbath was no flash-in-the-pan. These kids from Pennsylvania stuck it out, and they are STILL at it six years after forming! And they're still making cool records that aren't generic, dull, or formulaic. Bravo!

"Wrestler Of The Year" is the band's third CD, and it's quite cool. These guys still dish out loud, energetic, spirited, hard-edged pop that's a hell of a lot of fun! The songwriting is still pretty damn solid, as this new offering unleashes a consistent collection of ear-pleasing pop-punk tunes that rock hard (Bands like Blink-182 can only WISH that they had Wormbath's attitude and raw energy!). If you dig bands like Dirt Bike Annie and The Klopecs, you should check out "Wrestler Of The Year" in a hurry!"

Maximum Rock N' Roll Reviews:
"I like these guys. They know what i like, rock and roll and wrestling. Plus they make fun of hard core posers! Songs about girls and wrestling, man perfect combo here. Check these boys out, they like to rock. I can't really say who they remind me of, but that must be a good thing, because "don't want no superman as a hero to me, heros are like mom and dad and Mr. Mick Foley," is just a classic line. More bands should hop on this wrestling appreciation thing. More songs about Mick Foley, Mil Mascaras and Bret Hart, less songs about sticking it to the man. WORMBATH, you have conquered my world. Viva La Lucha Libre!" (added 9-27-00)
