Meeting Jenny

  • Saturday, June 17th

    Jenny's performance at Liseberg,Göteborg:
The event was the called "Psalmtoppen", the ten most popular Christian
hymns this year voted by members of the church. Jenny sang two hymns
on her own, and when they reached no.1, all the participating artists sang
it together. Five minutes after the concert, Jenny came out to us fans
whom was waiting (Funna, Laly and myself and some non acers, pupils
from Åh Stiftgård) and hugged us. We got autographs, we talked a bit.
She didn't hide the fact that she had a boyfriend (he stood behind her holding
her stuff: a bag, a flower and a bottle of mineral water).
After ten minutes of talking she
wished us a good summer and told us that she wanted to go and eat with her friends.

    Some fun stuff to know:
My boyfriend video taped the consert and the meeting. Johan (my boyfriend)
stood five metres away from Jenny almost all the time but
after five minutes he did a wise decision, he went forward to her.
    When she saw him she shone up in a big smile and said a Göteborgsk "joke";
"Hallå eller! Här pratar vi Göteboska" (Hallo there! We talk Göteboska")
Not very fun in english, you need to hear it in Swedish
to understand it. Anyway, he pointed at me and said
to Jenny "I am her boyfriend" and then Jenny said to
Johan "I am his girlfriend" and pointed at Jakob.

We (Johan, Laly, Pauline and myself) got to Åh Stifgård at 7.20pm
The consert would be at Åh's church. When we got there we met
the french acers which had been there since 9am
When we stood outside the church we all heard Jenny singing
inside, they were rehearsal. When they opened the church gate everybody
rushed in, and we thought "Yes we got in first! We get good seats!" but oh no
every seat had a nice note on it which said "Reserved for the midsummercamp".
We got the seats in the back row. The consert began and it was great! Jenny
sang beautiful as always. During one song she did a christian ritual, she light
a candel and prayed to God and "made the cross" (don't know the name of it in English) with her hands.
I can't remember all the songs she sang.
She sang songs from Mariah Carey, Sting, Eternal
plus other artist that I can't remember. She talked about God, herself, life etc.
She is a very good speaker.
