Jan Hellriegel

by Anne-Marie de Bruin

After seeing Jan Hellriegel play at a Greg Johnson concert on Apr. 12 (she played Greg's Liberty Bell and The Funeral Song, one of her own), I was quite happy when I found out that she has a web page. This is quite a nice site, which has lots of info and articles on Jan and her music, as well as an up-to-date news section. (Apparently Jan has appeared on some episodes of Xena: Warrior Princess and is working on new music.) Jan Hellriegel first came to the attention of the New Zealand public with her band Cassandra's Ears, and since then has made two solo albums, and is currently working on her third. So if you're a Jan Hellriegel fan, or you just want to find out more, check out her site.
