SANZSA is delighted to announce that Jan Hellriegel will be the Special Guest SongWriter @ the TEMPLE on Sunday June 28th.

Jan first started making waves in the NZ music scene with the band "Cassandra's Ears". After 4 years and several releases with that band ["Private Wasteland" and "Your Estimation"] Jan launched her first solo album "It's My Sin" in 1993. "Tremble" followed in [1995].

If you type in "Jan Hellriegel" on the internet search engine Alta Vista you get 39 responses. Jan has been a featured artist in television commercials, a presenter of a TV music show, and is a seasoned performer. Jan has performed throughout NZ & Australia with the likes of The Muttonbirds, Straitjacket Fits, the Verlaines, Dead Flowers, The Cure, David Byrne, Jeff Buckley, Ron Sexsmith, and Diesel.

This dynamic lady has also been pursuing her acting aspirations. She has gone from the Otago University Drama Club to performing in one of the world's highest rating TV shows "Xena: Warrior Princess". We are all looking forward to those episodes.
