Mike Knott always puts on a exciting, high-energy show. Here are a few examples:
Here is an email I got:
"I went to see lifesavors live at a local christian bookstore around the
time of the dreamlife release, my friends and I had a little teen rock band
going and so after the show we talked to mike and convinced him to come to
one af our rehersals , listen to us and give us some advice, well he showed
up (a little late) and patiently listened to us play our pathetic songs and
then gave us some advice. Before he left we convinced him to play a song
for us on my friends acoustic guitar, he played a song I think it was
called " Sky blue" and we recorded it on our portable casette player. I
think my friend might still have the tape somewhere it is interesting in
retrospect."
At a cornerstone concert Mike came out in a Cookie Monster mask, Doidge wore a clown mask, bassist Erik
Benrock had a troll mask on, the drummer wore a Big Bird mask. During "Ellis in the Orchard" Knott broke into the chorus
of "On Broadway." (Thats an oldies song, for the youngins). During "Hang me High" Knott walk on stage holding a big can. People tried to read the label, but you couldn't quite make it out. Knott just held it as he sang...until the bridge. He moved his hand so, the audience could read the label. Then he started singing "I love pork and beans!" Mike started rubbing it into his hair, throwing it in the audience, and finally dumping it on himself. Another
cool part was Mike performing the Encore song, Shaded Pain, in a clown suit.

At an L.S.U concert in New York Mike Knott duct taped members of the audience together and threw them offstage. (More about that concert in the liner notes of the "Bring it Down Now" tape.)
During one of the early Aunt Betty's shows (full of Label scouts) Knott did the last half of the concert in a dress taken off a girl in the audience. Elektra still signed them.
At Cornerstone 91 L.S.U. mainly played "Shaded Pain" songs in that agressive style that we all know and love. They started playing "Ocean Blue" when Knott yelled for the band to stop. He explained the meaning of the song. He also said "There are some people out there who believe that they can know your future! I'm gonna read your color...come to the grapes..." Foreshadowing "The Grape Prophet" which was released the next year. very cool.

1992--L.S.U. played in a Christian Club. Knott ended Tether to Tassel with a audience sing-a-log with a little Neil Diamond. "She's got the way to move me!"
1995, Portland. Mike Knott and Brian Doidge did an acoustical show. Knott played most of the "Rocket and a Bomb" songs peppered with background stories for the songs. For instance: "Big Fat Man" that "comes out of Jan's door" and brings back sandwiches, He wore a big hat that covered most of his face and dark sunglasses. He brought back submarine sandwiches. The concert was ended with an electrical set that had "The Bomb/Not a Cussword" fading into the Ramones "I wanna be sedated"
