MIke KnotT's mUsiCal InFluenceS

While there is no doubt that Knott is a very original musician, There are some songs that Mike has performed over the years that seem to be tributes to other bands: "What you would have been if you had not come" (off "The Grape Prophet") is a lot like The Red Hot Chili Peppers. In fact in the liner notes LSU thanks "The Peppers."
The end of "Serious" (off of "Rocket and a Bomb") is the same as "Funk 49" by James Gang.
"Rockstars on H" (off "Strip Cycle") sounds exactly like a Voilent Femmes song.
"Funky Space Cat" (off "Bring it Down Down") is supposedly in typical Hole style (that's what the liner notes said, but I don't see it).
"Lush" on Aunt Betty's is very Rolling Stones-y
That's the specific stuff here's the general stuff: Screaming Brittle Siren sounds simalar to David Bowie. The distorted guitars on "Cash in Choas World Tour" amkes it sound similar to Janes Addiction. Well, that's all that I can think of. This didn't take up much space, but that is a good thing. bAck tO tHe OrchArd
