This article mostly compares dodge and chevrolet motors in
1970. Well me and some friend were having some argument for
the longest time, finally it came to an end when I
got out the old chilton manuals and did a few calculations
in front of him of coarse. I had figured
out that in 1970 the 426 hemi motor with dual quad carbs
made by dodge of coarse had 425 horsepower @ 5000 rpm,
the 454 however with a single 4 barrel carb only produced
409.09 (repeating 09 to be precise) at 5000 rpm, now lets
just give chevy a boost and round off to 410 horses
for chevy. Dodge still has 15 more horsies kicking around,
now he still thinks that chevy makes more horses but I
have living proof in this document so if you
would like to argue e-mail me I would love to chat I will have pictures of
dodge's and Chevrolet's when I get the chance to scan them.
