Age:29

ICQ:1812717

Location:I live in Cary, North Carolina.

Occupation:I am an artist...my medium is icing, so, essentially I am a cake decorator.

SG discovery story:I was trapped in buttrock and classic rock hell. I desperately wanted out. I went to a CD store one day and bought several things I had never actually heard. One of those things was Soundgarden's SuperUnknown. After listening to it all the way through, I realized I had heard a couple of the songs on the radio, Black Hole Sun and Fell on Black Days. I hated those songs when I heard them on the radio, so I didn't listen to the CD again for awhile. Then I tried it again, skipping those songs and I discovered I really liked some of the songs, most notably Mailman. I was listening to Mailman one night while chatting on the Internet and someone asked me who my fave band was, since I was listening to SG at the time I just said them. I was then asked what song was my fave, so I said Mailman. Turned out I was chatting with another SG fan who offered to tape and send me Stolen prayers. Ironically, it was that boot that really turned me on to SG.

Favourite Album/songs:My fave is BMF. I like the raw energy of it. My second fave is Screaming Life/Fopp. I like the experimental nature of it. It sounds to me like they were searching for a direction on those releases.

Live Experiences:I have seen SG three times. The first was Lolla '96 on Chris's Birthday. It was a great show, despite the fact the I got a mild concussion from being kicked in the head by a crowd surfer. My second show was the infamous Chicago show of '96 where I was able to meet up with other fellow Sommsters and meet the band. Wow! that show will forever be a memory that I cherish. The third time was a road trip to Atlanta with a couple of other Sommsters.

Other bands:My fave bands are Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees, Alice in Chains, Jimmy's Chicken Shack, Phish.....etc

Any Comments:I've been on the list since April of 96. I have made some great friends here, and a couple of enemies too. But most notably, I met my husband here. Ryan Kamp and I met on the list August 6, 1996 and were married on June 21, 1997. So this list has given me the most incredible husband in the world and a really great brother-in-law (Aaron Kamp) too.
