Location:I live in Chico, CA about 100 miles north of Sacramento, where I saw my first and unfortunately only Soundgarden concert on December 4th 1996.

Occupation:I go to California State University Chico, and do Clerical work in a law office. I plan to major in Political Science, with possible minors in either Music, Theater, or Spanish.

SG discovery story:My first thought of Soundgarden was when I saw the video for Outshined, "Wait, this is in 7/4 time! Wierd." Eventually, I actually started listening to Superunknown which was my step-brother's tape at the time, I can't say there was an exact moment, but I guess I got worn down.

Favourite song:Favorite SG Song of all time is of course "Like Suicide." I don't like the acoustic version narly as much, because it doesn't have that build from soft to thrash that I love about the original, or Kim's absolutely gorgeous solo. I can also remember exactly where I was when I first heard it, and unlike any other song I had ever heard before, as soon as it was over upon first listen...I could remember exactly how it went.

Live Experiences:Like I said I saw them on their last tour. The only interesting part I would say is that I cut my last period class so my friend and I could get there early. And because of that ONE Un-excused absence, my grade lowered from an A to a B in the class. I even asked Matt Cameron during the Boom Theory Chat on 1/21 if he would write me a note, to which he replied "You're on your own buddy, but thanks for coming to the show."

Other bands you like:My first favorite band was the Beatles (not too original, sorry) I also am into the Chili Peppers a lot, Pearl Jam of course. I've seen the Toadies, U2, Dave Matthews, REM all in concert. I'm getting more into Radiohead. I also think Louis Armstrong is the greatest musician of the 20th century, I like jazz. Umm....King Crimson is also an influence, and I just bought the album "In Memory of.." by Big Wreck and thouroghly enjoy it, I see some SG in them as well as a great array of influences and their own talent. But I am pretty open to music, I don't really like Rap, or Country, but oh well.

Any Comments:I am thankful for the time we were allowed to experience Soundgarden, I am for better or worse (most likely better) forever changed by their music. I enjoy being able to contact people of like minds through SOMMS and web-pages like this, my little town is kind of sparse in it's SG fans, and you guys make the world a little smaller. R.I.P. Soundgarden.
