Age:24. Not old, but I guess on the upper end of the SOMMS people.
ICQ:393414
Location:I live near Pittsburgh, PA. I've been quite honored to say that Chris has
talked about this fair city more than once. He usually referred to it as
*Hell*.... But hey, it feels good to be acknowledged by the God! ;-)
Anyway, sometimes it seems like miles away from civilisation. Pittsburgh is
an OK city, except that it seems a couple of steps behind the rest of the
country in many ways.
What do you do?I am a self-employed Web Developer. Impressed? Well, I'll be impressed
once the money starts rolling in, which will hopefully be soon! Anyway, I'm
self-taught. I actually have a degree in Theatre Arts. Don't ask. It's a
loooong story about how I got from there to here. Anyway, know anyone who
needs a web developer? ;-p
SG discovery story:I can't really say the exact moment that I became obsessed with our boys.
I'm sure that I've heard them now and then throughout their early careers,
but never really noticed. (I know, I'm ashamed!) Then when I was traveling
around Europe, I heard Black Hole Sun over the radio over and over and
over.... (Well, they really like american music.) That's when I first
started saying 'Hey, that Soundgarden is pretty cool.' Anyway, at some
point after that, I bought SuperUnknown. And then BMF. And then I fell in
love! *sigh*
Favourite SG Album/songs:I love all SG albums and songs. But my favorite album is BMF. Jesus Christ
Pose is my favorite song. I love listening to it loud...and I mean LOUD!
Whenever I hear it, my heart starts to beat faster, my blood starts flowing
and I really feel ALIVE! And all I hear is the music. Really, can it get
any better? But I also love JCP for the lyrics. My interpretation of it is
that it's about "holier than thou" people who stand there and preach to you.
They try to tell you that they know the 'right way' and that you must follow
them. But I'm saying Fuck You! I know who I am and I can not deny that.
In fact I'm pretty fuckin proud of it! And I will not be brainwashed into
following your bullshit... Pretty damn cool, huh?
Live Experiences:I don't think that I'll ever recover from not seeing them live. Everytime I
hear them, I have to kick myself. I'll be sure to see Chris, Matt, Kim and
Ben in their separate future projects live. But it just won't be the same
as seeing them all together on one stage. *sigh* *sob*
Other favourite bands:Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog, AIC, Bush, Live, Nirvana, NIN, RHCP, STP, Rage
Against the Machine, Led Zeppelin, Fugazi, old REM, Rusted Root, Offspring,
Steve Miller Band, Van Morrison, Smashing Pumpkins, 10,000 Maniacs, Natalie
Merchant, Janes Addiction, Indigo Girls, Clapton, Hendrix, Green Day, The
Cure and much, much more!
Any Comments:I don't quite know how to explain it, but in my 'younger years' I kind of
went through life in a daze. I think a lot of people have this problem.
You go through life, seeing, hearing, etc. But not really noticing. Not
really taking things in. (I blame my late 'SG fan' status to this!) I've
known people who have been witness to something absolutely breathtaking, and
not realizing it. It's really a shame. Aside from that, they're not really
in tune with themselves. I was like that, and I don't want to revert back
to my old ways. That is why I love Soundgarden's music. When I listen to
it, I really appreciate it. I enjoy it. And it makes me feel alive. I
credit SG music with continually waking me up! And I credit it with
reminding me to stop and take things in and enjoy it.
Was that deep? Or was it just plain silly? Well, you all can just keep
your thoughts to yourself. I'm writing this extremely late after a long
day. And well, it's time for me to go....
