Q: Is "Joel Lee" your REAL name?
A: Actually, it is. "Joel" is my first name, and "Lee" is my middle name. My last name is a long Italian name that is hard to remember, spell, or even pronounce!
Q: When is your birthday?
A: August 5th, 1974. This makes me a true Leo, and I totally represent my sign's characteristics.
Q: What are your physical stats?
A: What? You mean the pictures don't work??? ;-) Ok, I am 6', I have long brown hair, and blue eyes.
Q: What got you into playing the electric bass?
A: When I was 10, the bass was needed in the school band to cover tuba parts. I had already been playing violin for 2 years, so I was asked to play an electric bass in the concert and jazz bands. I loved it and have been playing ever since.
Q: When did you start playing bass?
A: Let's see...the exact date I was handed the electric bass in middle school....September 23, 1985.
Q: Who is in your opinion the BEST bassist alive?
A: I cannot really answer that because I believe EVERY bassist has something different that he/she contibutes to the music. My favorite players that I am influenced most by are Stuart Hamm, Victor Wooten, Billy Sheehan, Michael Manring, Marcus Miller, Gary Willis, and the late Jaco Pastorius. (just to name a few)
Q: What do you do besides music?
A: My hobbies include the outdoors, Native American Indian lore, billiards, boating, skiing, mountain biking, "spodding" on the computer.
