Can you describe yourself ?
I´m a fortune person. Life is fantastic. I always wanted to play in a rock band and that wish came true. I try to stay out of publicity. I don´t feel like a superstar and I try to live a normal life as possible.
What is/has been your greatest challenge in life ?
The Piano ! Recently I took some lessons. I heard a good jazz/blues pianist play in a club. I approached him and asked him if he could teach me something. He gave me some lessons.
How did it make you feel when you released your solo-album ?
Fantastic ! It gives you a great feeling to see your face on a cover. Yes, I´m still very proud of it. Especially because it´s an instrumental album. That does not go for the canadian released version, because that includes one song sung. In the future I´ll be making a rock´n´roll record together with a band !
Have Bon Jovi Fans changed through the years according to you ?
They grew up, just like us. I think the elder fans have grown up with us and the younger fans have joined.
Which was your favourite Band to tour with ?
The best of all were the Scorpions ! We were new to the Game - playing arenas ! At that time they already played big stadiums, that was the time of the„Love at first string" album. It was amazing to see them onstage every nite - that was so new to us. We learned a lot....
Some weeks ago I talked to Klaus Meine, he said that you´re really great !
Yes, they´re great, good friends ! They were the old wise man and we were the green ones. That was the first time in a bus - really exciting !
You wrote the Curtis Stiges Song „This Time" ...
It´s out now ? I have to go and get a copie ! Yes, I wrote it with Richie Supa. He also did „Amazing" for Aerosmith. He´s a great Song Writer and a very good friend. I can tell you a story about it : „We did the song and heard that Curtis Stigers is going to do it, but that was just a roumor. Then I received a Call from Clive Davis - You know Clive Davis ? He´s a Giant in Music-Buisness, for 30 years. I was really surprised, the big Clive Davis called me ! He said that Curtis deffinitly is doing the Song ! Every Songwriter would die for such a call !
What do you think of when you hear Germany ?
Hmh, when we´re back ? I don´t know nothing outside New Jersey. Imagine you live in a small town in Germany - you don´t know anything about other Country´s, the world ! You know your school, your house. You sit in Geographie Lesson and search for Germany : Hmh, Italy, France..........
