Hi, I'm Eddie
your Host

This page is for you, the fans of NAWTY ROXX.

NAWTY ROXX formed in 1985 under the name DEFENDER which later changed to
NAWTY ROXX. DEFENDER started out as a 5 piece unit. Members were Kevin Allen on drums and backing vocals. Dewain Cook on bass guitar and backing vocals. Jay Gallagher rythem guitar and backing vocals. Eddie Jacobs lead vocals. And Todd Moore on lead guitar and backing vocals. DEFENDER
started out playing party's and doing their own shows in their home town of Ridgecrest Ca. Out in the middle of nowhere. In February 1986 they did their first show in Hollywood Ca. at the world famous Troubadour on Santa Monica Blvd. DEFENDER played several times there. In September of 86, the band replaced guitarist Jay Gallagher with John Chase of Rhode Island. John left the band shortly after the Kern County Fair gig and later moved to Los Angeles and joined a band called Rattle Snake Shake. and in December of 86 DEFENDER played Gazzari's on the Sunset strip. During the summer of 1986, DEFENDER auditioned to play at the Kern County Fair. There was about 100 bands that auditioned and only seven were to be chosen to perform at the fair. DEFENDER made the cut and the Fair Commity decided to have a Battle Of The Bands competition. On Wednesday night October 24, 1986, there were some pretty good bands playing that night. DEFENDER was the last band to hit the stage. There was a lot of people there. It looked like a miniture US festival. Lots of screaming music fans, it was a rush being on stage that night. Each band performed for 20 minutes(which felt like 1 minute). After DEFENDER was done KQXR 94.1 Radio MC Tony Cox announces DEFENDER, winner of the Kern County Fairs Battle Of The Bands competition. In 1987, DEFENDER changed there name to NAWTY ROXX. In April of 87 NAWTY ROXX went to a recording studio in Santa Anna to record four songs. Live or die(in Hollywood), I want some, Missing U and Too late. In September 87, NAWTY ROXX went to Sierra Madre to record 7 more songs. Like, Enough is enough, Crazy for love, Nitty Gritty, Not alone, No more Mr. nice guy, Dead city and Nawty roxx. None of these songs went public and now they're available on CD. In October of 88, NAWTY ROXX got the chance to open the show for CBS recording artist WARRANT in San Pedro Ca. That was a great show for us to play. We had a lot of fun. NAWTY ROXX ended in 1990 when they moved to L.A.. Hope you enjoy your visit here. There is pics and stuff for you to look at here.
