I will survive only because i understand where the band is coming form and i realize that they will stil create music. i also knew from the begining through listening to the album that it was theur last and when my thoughts were confirmed i was extreemly sad but many of the words that billy spoke about it got me through it. he talked about how james was going to make music that he felt closer to and themade me happy. also i think there can't be a reunion tour with out a break up. and i would even call it a break upmore of they just arn't going to make music as the smashing pumpkins. look on the bright side, they gave us 11 years of great music that will last us a hundred lifetimes.

Yes. I guess. But as the SP music collection is so very extensive, and it's not like billy is commiting suicide or anything i'll live.

He wouldn't go as far as to leave the current generation without a rawk hero..

SP have one of the biggest collection of music and covers they ever played. It's amazing. I'll thank them for playing a part in my life. It's nice to have people in your heart who are sincere all the way.

I like all their records, i like Adore, i like Machina. Some people are just not openminded and patient enough to provide some airplay to certain songs. Not all songs are catchy at first glance. But once you'll give it your time, it will proudly display it's bliss to you.

I went only to one concert of them, and am going to one more in september. For me, the pumpkins will always rawk. As for the decision of the band, i can only support them. There's a difference between making all your music yourself, writing it, singing it, performing it, then have people make songs for you. (hint-hint).

It's amazing how great all these songs are. I can only support a band who is willing to change. If the audience is not willing to support this, then to bad. Be loyal to the self.

Pumpkins Rule Foreverrrrrrrrr

If sp had broken up 4 years ago, I wouldn't have been able to survive. I probably would've sunk into one of those dumb depressions that ppl who r obsessed w/bands do. But, now, I've changed, and sp have changed, and although I still claim they r my fave band, we've kinda distanced ourselves from each other and I know they'll never be exactly what they used to mean to me anyway.

When I found out i was so depressed.I was crying for 3 hours. All of my friends thought i was crazy. But I know all good things must come to an end.One of the only bands left that was not destroyed by self-imposed fasisum is gone. But The Smashing Pumpkins will always be my favorite band.

We are all very shocked and sad to hear that the smashing pumpkins are breaking up. but really it's the way things are. we will forever have their albums and the memories of their overwhelming concert will forever be tatooed onto our minds. not everything lives for ever, but the thought of them effects us always
love always and forever

When I found out the Pumpkins were breaking up I was driving home in my car and my mouth was just hanging open in shock. It's sad that they're calling it quits, but all good thing come to an end. At least they're ending with a stong album. You'll make it on your own. You'll make it so alone. You'll feel so alone.
