Hello! Ahh, it's about time I got around to updating this page. I first put this page up right in the middle of my transition from "I am such a rudeboy!" to "I am such a Mod!". There are still going to be quite a few representations left over from that little juvenile era or mine, but I've taken out a lot of the gratuitous and unnecisary stuff like that, plus, I've added a few new ones, too. I've re-organized the page so that the newer stuff is at the top, and the older stuff is at the bottom, which is good, so that if you get tired of looking at it all, you get the good stuff first. There are more drawings to come, but I don't know how soon, I don't get on the internet that often any more. Anyway, enjoy!

.

Here we have a drawing of a kid doing what makes him happy.

Here's a picture of the famous Andy Kaufmann alter-ego, Tony Cliffton.

Don't ask what's going on here, but let's just say it's a picture of a guy from the tummy down holding a drink while a weird thing looks on in shock and amazement. I wish I didn't have to explain these kinds of things.

Here's a drawing I made for a Milhouse USA flier that me and Jef! Melendez (guitarist for said group) drew together. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy that has Jef's additions to the drawing, which are just cool beyond comparison, but nevertheless, please enjoy Two Guys Tumbling Through the Air.

Take a look at what's on tonight on TeeVee.

I like this one, I think it's super neat. Now, at first you're probably thinking "Okay, yeah, who do you think you are? Jackson Pollock?" Ah, no, kids, see, I didn't splatter ink or paint on canvas/paper, here. I actually DREW that. Yes, I drew the shapes free-hand entirely out of my head. Whether you think that's cool or not, (who cares, really?), Enjoy.

Here's a nice little Self Portrait.

This next drawing is a result of working in an environment where lots of scratch paper is readily available at my disposal. It's just sort of a montauge of doodles. For those who want to know, the boy in the bottom left hand corner eyeing the cake, his shirt says "CYNIC" and the cake is labelled "NEW Idea sure to save the WORLD!". Check it out. Some people might think this drawing has overtones of being a social commentary about certain subcultures. It's not. It's a socail comment on the concept of "culture" in general, no particular one.

Here's a drawing of a kid sitting on the floor thinking. That's a backpack next to him, not an oversized telephone, by the way.

Here's a drawing of a kid leaping through the air with a Rickenbacker guitar. For those wondering, yes, the kid is loosely based on local pop hero Danny Offer.

Here's a drawing of two swankly dressed boys in an MGB getting hassled by a police officer. Looks like the boy in the Adidas shirt is partied out, and his boyfriend seems pissed both at the cop and his drunk ass boyfriend.

Here's some guy holding a briefcase, which is not drawn for some reason.

Here's a kid dreaming about the finer pleasures of life. Namely, guns, cookies and sports cars. The Grodins is the title for my forthcoming solo lo-fi music project.

This drawing was another one of the gems that sort of falls off the end of my pen amidst indexing and entering legislative calendars at StateNet. It is now the front page image at my main website, the home of The Grodins. It's warm and fuzzy and cute, and okay, maybe it's very twee pop-like, (especially the colored version) but screw it, I like that drawing. Those two cats look pretty happy. I'm not a big fan of Playstation, though, I just can't get into video games that much.

Here we have a guy who's subscribed to the mall culture. Poor fellow. Again, I'm not picking on a specific genre here. This guy could just as easily have a four button tonic suit and skinny necktie and still deserve the barcode face. Actually, this guy's got a pretty cool ensemble. I'm not making fun of the asthetic, I'm making fun of the mentality.

Here is a drawing of my good friend and co-worker and lead singer of Sacramento's Punk sensation No Kill I, it's Mr. Ed Hunter.

Here's one I sketched at work of a big face in a box. I honestly do get a lot of work done.

Here's a guy looking content with life with the word "bon" floating above his head.

Here's a drawing of a cat that hangs around down here in the downtown of Sacramento named Chris who I understand plays a mean guitar. I don't really know him, but I see him a lot, and he's just got an interesting look about him, so I drew him.

Here's a commentary on being part of a "scene", and don't try to paint your "scene" all holy and the exception to the rule. It's just the nature of solidarity to be exclusive on some extent.

Here's a drawing of a kid drawing.

Here's another drawing I made for a Milhouse USA flier. The flier is here. The picture on here is not a scan of the original, it's one of the many photocopies of the original. I think Charles Albright (drummer for Milhouse, and one-time StateNet fellow employee) has the original, I don't know. But basically, the photocopier is one of a flier maker's best friends. I would draw to a certain point, and I'd either stop and make several photocopies just in case I messed up, or I'd mess up and then photo copy it with a peice of paper over the mess up and start over. The one you see here is a doodled-on one of the more finished photocopies.

Here's a drawing I made of my very good friend and StateNet co-worker and highly talented guitarist for Milhouse USA, Jef Melendez, seen doing what he and I often do at work, drawing things. Jef's artwork is being displayed at Capitol Garage right now (June of 2001). Interesting side note, the little dream bubble of a beach was drawn by Jef! himself. It all has to do with a Milhouse USA song called "At The Beach".

Here's one I made of two guys leaping up in the air. I like this one.

Here are some drawings that were drawn as prelims for a Milhouse USA flier concept, but these didn't get used. Thery're both drawings of a kid at a desk.

Are you ready for more pages covered with doodles? I've got three more here. This one features, aside from other mish-mash, a drawing of Thom Yorke. This one is fun, and the drawing on the right was inspired by some of Charles Albright's work on fliers he's made for Milhouse USA and other Bands. This one isn't that great, other than it features my creedo "FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION" and also has a silly little self-portrait at the bottom.

This one was drawn in blue and red pen, but I transferred it all to black and white, except for the Mod Target, which I left into it's true colors. All you hedonistic Mods feast your eyes upon the Pop Star.

This one tells a little story, but it's kind of the type where what's going on is "up to the reader".

Here's a drawing of a nice young man with well-trimmed sideburns.

Here's a kid in a suit sitting on an object that I neglected to draw.

Here's another such stupid drawing of a kid appearantly leaning up against the edge of the paper.

Here's a sketch of a sullen faced boy.

Here's one from my sketch book of a guy playing an accoustic guitar.

Here's one that's slightly inspired by Murdoc, the virtual bass player for the Gorillaz, and partly inspired by local Rock 'N Roll Hero Mike Diaz of the Pretty Girls and many other great undertakings.

Here's one of a guy with a weird head playing the guitar.

And here's another drawing of the great Thom Yorke of that goofy rock band Radiohead.

Here's a guy with sticky-out ears and an adidas shirt.

Here's a couple of drawings I made around a theme, namely, the word "amper" which I think I was entertaining as a possible name for a band. Sounds too technotronic, I think, but I shouldn't let stuff like that stop me. I think I shouldn't use it as a band name because it's too kitchy. Anyway, here's the other one.

This one's not going to look so great because it was originally a faint pencil drawing, so I had to do some serious work to get it to show up decently, even with adobe photoshop. Anyway, here's a bald guy playing a bass.

Here's a couple of drawings I made for my buddy and another member of Milhouse USA, namely Charles Albright. Here's the other one.

Here's a sassy lookin kid smoking a cigarette. They're not good for you.

I don't think these were actually drawn together, they just sort of bled together in my sketch book as I doodled. Anyway, here's a crazy lookin' pair of kids.

Here's a guy crying. Aww, too bad.

A guy having a cigarette and a cup of tea. Some of these drawings are a few months old, I don't draw people smoking quite as often any more.

Here's a couple of kids being all cute and gazing at each other and all that garbage.

Here's a goofy one of a guy playing a Euphonium. That's the instrument I first played in Junior High, it's like a tuba, only smaller, has about the same range as a trombone, a little bit lower. Differently-shaped models of the same instrument are called simply the "baritone".

Somebody's feet.

Here's a drawing I made of another one of my favorite Sacramento Punk bands, the Foureyes. I would like to officially Opologize to Dave "Ninja" for the original state of this drawing where he was missing some teeth and his right eye was going wacky. This was, I swear to god, an accident that I didn't take the time to fix. Terribly sorry, Dave. Thanks to photoshop, I can fix these things. Their website is over here.

Here's something I drew one day at working thinking about all the stuff I want to get for my forthcoming musical project, The Grodins.

Here's a crazy looking kid with a gun.

Here's two guys louging around.

Here's a mop-haired boy wearing a parka.

Here's a happy lookin' guy.

Here's a kid sitting in a feild just kinda thinking about stuff. Looks like she just bought some records.

Here's a tall lanky guy with a neat looking suit on.

Here's one from my sketch book that I just sort of scribbled, but I still like it. It's a kid sitting back drinking lemonade.

My sketch book often gets whole pages filled with little doodles, like this one of two little cars.

Another great Sacramento Punk band that I like is The Bananas, so what's this drawing of Bruce Springsteen doing here? Ha, no it's not "The Boss", it's the Banana's own, and might I add, a really nice guy, Mike Cinceripino.

Another one of those sort of "cover the page with unrelated drawings" ones, and this one was just too hard to make look decent, so what you see is what you get, it's another one of my mosaics.

This one is reminescent of my older drawings, it's just some skinhead looking guy going "Oi!".

Here's one of a kid looking up into the sky while walking down a sidewalk.

Self portraits are nice. This one's a little bit ridiculous.

Here's a little rock n roll band.

I went to a readymades recording session at the loft once, and I did a contour line drawing of the Readymades as they played.

I kind of have a thing for sassy looking kids smoking cigarettes. It really is an image thing, I'd much preffer somebody who doesn't smoke.

Here's a mellow looking kid sitting on the floor. See, though, this kid doesn't need the cigarettes.

A smoking gun falling to the ground.

Have yourself some nice soup.

This drawing for some reason has something to do with Stutgardt. I think I had a dream the previous night that I was in Stutgardt. Jef Melendez was born in Stutgardt. Suddenly, everything is about Stutgardt.

Here's a couple of shy looking kids in really nice suits.

You'd think all the spit would run back into your mouth if you played the trumpet this way.

And lastly, another drawing of a guy playing a guitar through a vox amp.

A Jazz Combo

Easy Skankin', Mon

Some dude with keys.

For some reason I thought this would be funny. A Punk Band playing Dixieland Jazz. Go figure, I was a weird kid.

Here's a cute little drawing of me back in the days when I was known as "Roscoe".

The world's first artificial brain, circa 1922.

Here's a drawing I made once for a band that never happened, which was a good thing, the drawing depictsa Mutant Swing Band. Some bands we are glad never happened, right?

An old car.

Crusty Punks

A silly and grody picture. Very Juevenile.:)

A kinda hipster-ish Mod.

Rudeboy '67

Rudeboy '79

Here's a drawing I made of my friend Shaun.

Here, we see Sr. Issac Newton with his Contra-Bass Saxophone and Little Pope Henry with his alto. If some of you are having a hard time remembering the historical accuracy of this representation, it's from a story I wrote that was absolutely absurd and silly.

Mods Are Go!

This was to be the logo guy for a zine I used to write for.

Here's a little doodle I made of my friend and fellow ex-member of the Stand, Brian Jackson

90 mph down Lombard St.

Here's one of my bizzaro drawings that defies interpretation.

Here is a drawing I scribbled of Mike Bruce of the Steady-Ups.

Here'a a drawing I made of a long-lost friend of mine Dan Willard who was in the band I was in previous to the Stand, the Skapics.

Dexter Gordon

A little something I drew on the back of a notebook back when I was in the stand.

A drawing of Miguel I doodled in my notebook. That was back in the Stand days.

Here are a couple of drawings I made of Victor Ruggiero of the Slackers/Sic and Mad/The Stubborn All-Stars. This one I like better, but It wasn't completely drawn free hand, whereas this one was drawn out of my head.

A sour faced boy.

I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!

A drawing I made that is supposed to depict two brothers, both Punk Boys.I don't really like this drawing that much, other than the backround, which I think I did great. If I could only do that all the time!

MoreRudeboys.And Even More

Here's a drawing I made of the band I was in previous to the Stand, the Skapics. Don't look at me, I didn't make up the name.

A skater boy.

A drawing depicting a bunch of 80's looking rudeboy guys playing cards with World War I-era German Military Officers. We don't ask why, kids, I'm just crazy, that's all.

Scarface!

A boy on a scooter

Old drawings of Skinheads here , hereAnd here.

Not my most original or finest work, in fact, the face is obviously copied off the Mighty Mighty Bosstones' logo.A Bulldog in a Suit.

The last of the weird drawings.

A drawing of overly stereotypical rudeboy/punk kids. What a waste of an otherwise creative teen mind.

Watching the treble at the pub.

That's it for now, but I have a lot more stuff that I just need to scan and run through photoshop, so come back soon, okay?
