Hi. It's 6:30 am, Friday morning. I don't have classes or exams today, and I was up until past 2 am this morning. Why am I up? Well...I haven't been able to sleep yet. Which sucks because I remember being really tired at some point yesterday. Lots of stuff keeps running through my brain and I don't really know how to stop it, and I think the frustration of not being able to sleep is making it worse.
There's still a good week until school is done but my brain has been on vacation for weeks already. It has been incredibly difficult to stay focused and to get work done. I guess I'll try to get some stuff done, since I can't sleep...I'd love to, but my brain is not cooperating. There's a note on my desk that says "x9_SexyLisa".
This has been a bad term. I think my marks are going to be way lower. I don't know why this bothers me when I know the marks are BS anyway, but the idea of grades has been pretty ingrained after however many years I've been in school. Twenty? Jesus. Hopefully I'll get a crocodile in most of my courses. That's an Arrested Development joke. My boyfriend visited this past weekend and brought with him a first dose of the show on DVD (season 1). First one's always free. I'm definitely hooked. I've almost made my way through all the episodes. I've been trying to ration them, because they are like an oasis in the desert to me. Dezert.
Frank's visit was lovely. Unfortunately I had some 'work' obligations this weekend, so we had to go to a couple Hunter Valentine shows. Frank even sold some merch. He is pretty useful after all. (Haha! Jokes! He's more than useful.) I went to another show last night. Their CD sales are doing quite well. Let me show you the album art I designed and laid out for them.
I'm pretty proud. What do I get out of it? Maybe a business card holder. I learned last night that the band are buying presents for Wayne and I for our work. On that subject, I have a new folder with tigers in space on it. It was a present. It's pretty nifty. I should one day try to scan it for you. And I saw Batman Begins yesterday, I mean Wednesday too. It was awesome. Quite awesome.
It seems the earliest I can return to Ottawa is June 30th. I guess worst case scenario I come home on the day of Canada Day festivities. I'm bringing the chips!
