News up the wazoo

I am never touching anything on the TTC again. I always knew about the tons of bacteria and shit that is found on doorknobs and everything, but to actually SEE something like this is pretty disgusting. This guy sitting across from me on the subway tonight, like 10 minutes ago, was seriously coughing up a lung. His face was totally red and I didn't realize how bad it was until I noticed...phlegm and spit dripping out of his hand (which he was coughing into) and onto the floor of the subway. That grossed me out enough. I thought he was about to die or something. So I guess he suddenly decided to get off the subway, and when he got up he put his phlegmy hand on the pole in the middle of the aisle. When he left, two other passengers and I noticed there was a disgusting huge glob of phlegm left on the pole and was now slowly dripping down towards the floor. After he left the train, I also noticed he stopped over the garbage can. I bet his lung is in there now. Needless to say, I washed my hands the second I got through my door. DISGUSTING.

Secondly, I am now officially in the running for students' council at Harris. Myself and two others, Jessie and Jeff, make up the Tripod. "Three make the call, three take the fall" type deal. We have also learned that we are being joined by one other student in our class, Andrew. We are up against another team of four in Level 3, made up of two PEPs (producing/engineering) and two RAMs (management). People are telling us we have a sure win, but I am not so sure. We're going to have to work on the RIOs (first termers). We campaign for all of next week and then elections take place the week after that. We've got some good ideas and we are all pretty excited about it, so I hope it goes well.

We've started one of our big projects already. I've teamed up with a couple of people and we are starting to manage a band for the next 7 months or so. Right now we are very likely going to be managing Wren City Churches, but we may pick up a second band at some point.

Saw Lindy on Tuesday night. You know me and Lindy. He was great, as usual. I converted some more fans, yay! Checked out Wren City Churches last night. I've seen them play better. Going to see Hunter Valentine on Saturday, my friend Courtney on Tuesday, Harris Showcase on Wednesday, and Andy Stochansky the Saturday after that. Almost went to see another band tonight but I'm way too old for three concerts in a row. Geesh.

Made a surprise trip to Ottawa over Easter weekend. My fine friend Emily offered me a cheap ride home so how could I resist? $20 round trip, TAKE THAT SARA! Let's see you top that! You probably will some day, and I will eat my words. Dammit.
