Democracy

I partied like it was 2003 on Friday. What a night. My old neighbour, Calvin (one of the nicest people in the world), was having a housewarming/wine tasting at his new place. It was tiny. And hot. And Stacey, Courtney and I started a kitchen party in the 4 square foot kitchen. And there were many people there, of all kinds. We then took a cab down to Laide ("Laide Lounge: Sexy New Erotic Bar on Adelaide Street East, Toronto"), a very fancy bar. There are molds of naked torsos in the entrance walkway. There were couches (sticky, but comfortable) and expensive drinks and pole dancing and a small pillow fight and drunken bonding. It was awesome.

Tell me how it works out so that a 10% popular vote results in 51 seats and 17.5% in the popular vote results in only 29 seats. I don't really favour one party over the other (although I suppose I'd prefer a federalist over a sovereigntist - is that a word?), and if I were a francophone Quebecoise I would be all over the Bloc. But it makes very little sense. Also, have you ever seen the Western Block Party's logo? It's jokes.

Freaking awesome.

Tomorrow is Court's CD release party! I've been contracted to make her 50 buttons. My defect rate is very high. Something like 25%. It's going to be so exciting! Cameron House, 9 pm, be there.
