This is one of the most stylish basses on the planent! For me only the Epic and the Orion models have any look I'd like. Wood construction and playability are excellent. However, as delivered, electronics were unacceptable and eventually factory supplied and "upgrade" free. It is still not the quietest bass around. My Ken Smith and Carvin have less hiss. Sound is solid and even with excellent growl. As an instrument I have to admit that this is a bit more bass than I can handle. I feel that I will always have room to grow playing the Epic. Downside is that factory is *very* non-responsive to complaints and it takes a lot of whining to get things fixed, improved or upgraded. I did not like the fact that the hardware was gold but screws were all chrome. Getting gold screws from factory proved impossible.
