He
looks on the world with his eyes wide open, with watchful consciousness
and positive attitude towards life. He impresses everyone with his charm.
'I grew up in a sincere and free family. I was taught to reach my goals
in life with respect and good-manners'...
He was
born on 13th March 1973 in the Hague, the Netherlands, as a son of successful
merchant. He spent his childhood in a small village of Zoetermeer, NL,
not far away from his place of birth. He was enthusiastic about horses
and riding.
'I love
animals', says Eloy. He showed his talents for music, art and languages
as a child already. 'My ability to learn a language in a relatively short
period of time is probably due to my desire of communication. That is why
I had no problems to learn German fluently, but also English and French',
says Eloy. With his sense of aesthetics and elegance he found out that
he was born to dance, that is why he started training latin-american dances.
He spent
day after day, training in a dance school for years. It was worth it, since
he did fairly well on several dance-competitions not only in the Netherlands,
but also abroad. When he was 17 he was a state champion.
Besides
his desire for dancing he was very interested in music. 'I love those tunes
that just 'go under your skin'', says Eloy who likes the romantic ballads
the most. Already as a teenager he sang in different bands and in
1987, on a school's band competition, he met Bastiaan, who was also competing.
The 'rivals' became friends.
'We found
out that we have similar goals in life. We both wanted our hobby to become
our job. We remained friends, although we went separate ways', says Eloy
who wanted to get noticed, so he performed as back-vocalist and as a supporting
actor in a few TV series. He met his friend Bastiaan again, and that was
it. When we started thinking about 'Caught In The Act', we knew that we
were about to 'win'.
