Gately considers Dutch Duet...

Boyzone star Stephen Gately is considering recording a duet with his Dutch lover, he disclosed today. But the gay star, currently at number three in the charts with his debut solo single, draws the line at a romantic duet with Eloy de Jong and would prefer to do an upbeat track. 

Gately, 24, told Smash Hits magazine: "It wouldn't be a ballad or a love song to each other because that would be too cheesy. It would have to be something fun. If we don't record something together we might write something together for his album." 

De Jong has had a flourishing pop career of his own with Dutch band Caught In The Act prior to being sprung into the spotlight in the UK as the Boyzone singer's partner. 

The pair have been together for the past 18 months. Gately also told the magazine that he is buying his lover a new Range Rover, the most expensive thing he has ever bought as a gift.

"I don't usually splash out on things like a car, but we need something bigger 'cos we want to put the dogs in the back."

Hey my darlings! I'm back! I've been neglecting my site due to my business with other stuff, but no more! So what's new?
First - CITA WebSite made an appearance in Popboys ezine! Ain't that great? The article in the magazine was about Stephen Gately, who will supposedly write a song for  Eloy's new-coming album and at the bottom of the article the editor of the magazine mentioned CITA WebSite as a so called "top fan site". Gotta say that I'm not at all "swapped" with news lately. Actually, I've been told by Mandy - THANKS Mandy! - that Bastiaan's new single is just about to come to the stores.

I've been pretty busy lately with redesigning my site a bit. Check out the new design of CITA Fun Stuff! CITA Elections have moved to CITA Poll area and there are two new polls added there. Check them out and place your votes! Instead of Real CITA, there is a new section - called Multimedia. Check it out, to find Real Video clip, wav sounds and a novelty - MP3 samples. I added 11 mp3 samples from CITA's first album Caught In The Act Of Love. Each is a minute and a half long and they are really cool. If you don't have an mp3 player yet, don't worry. You'll find a link to Music Match site, where you'll be able to download one for free! Albums section is changed as well and so is CITA Shop. The latter has taken me the longest time to redesign, since I wanted to make your online shopping much easier! You can compare prices of all CITA albums available on the net. There are also singles, CITA DVD plus (thank you Maja from Slovenia for your valuable information!), other CITA goodies to buy and Benjamin's album as well.
I'll add more mp3's when possible and I'll also add more lyrics in the future. If any of you has lyrics that are not published on my site yet in electronic version, I would really appreciate it if you could mail me.

Have you heard of DVD Plus? It's a special DVD that can be used in two ways - either as DVD or as audio CD. It looks like an ordinary CD, however it's made of two thin layers, that allow these two different functions. Why am I telling you that? The first DVD plus in the world is The Best of Caught In The Act! Ain't that great? 
Not only the best songs from CITA, also videos, other video clips, karaoke, pictures and lots of other fun stuff. How do I know that? Unfortunately I do not own one, nor do I know how can you get it! I'd like to ask you - my dear visitors from Germany - if you have any idea where and how to get it, how much it costs, please  let me know, so  that I'll be able to inform other CITA WebSite visitors. I mustn't forget to mention Kumiko  from Japan, who let me know about this DVD. Thank you Kumiko! Well, the company to produce this DVD plus is MAWA from Germany. Not much news lately... 8 days to go till Eloy's birthday, thus I decided to redo our CITA Birthday corner a bit (you can find it in the Fun Stuff section!). - I got an email from Marielle... Bastiaans fanclub wishes to know how many fans does Bastiaan have in the Netherlands. It's important for you to mail them on the following email:

New CITA gallery has been opened. Link HERE. There are a few images added, but as I already mentioned I'm planning on adding new images all throughout the year. Some images (only a few) that are published were taken from the web. I hope that the person who scanned them doesn't mind that I published them on my site. If (s)he does, please let me know and I'll take the image off the web. (BTW If you find any broken links, please mail me!)

If you have missed Bastiaan on BRAVO TV (on German satellite channel RTL 2 - broadcasted via Astra satellite!), there's another chance to see him this Saturday (29th Jan) at 8.05 am CET when the rerun will be on. Don't miss it! It's in the second half of the show, approximately 5-10 minutes long and he's talking about his new single, his video (there's a short clip of the video) and he's really amusing!
More news - as you may have already noticed CITA Image gallery is currently under construction. It's getting a whole new look and it'll be reopened in a few days time. (If you wish to be notified when the gallery reopens join CITA mailing list!) New images will be added and this is a great opportunity to ask you - my dear visitors - if you have any CITA images that you'd like to share with other CITA fans (preferably scanned from magazines, posters and stuff) please do send them to me on: cita_website@hotmail.com. I'll update the chart depending on the number of votes, but most probably the chart will be updated on the weekly basis. I also created 6 new CITA wallpapers for you to use! (Wallpapers are being moved from Fun Stuff area to CITA Image gallery!)

Eloy has started recording his new album, as claimed by Stef on her ELOY Solo 4 Himself Site. (Link HERE!)
No new tour dates from Benjamin, but I found some interesting info about Basti on Gabi's Site (link HERE!) Link to Gabi's site to read Bastiaan's letter to his fans (from Nov. '99). His single "Still believe in love" will be released  in about a month (14.2.2000) He was to Ireland, where he shot his new video, for hi single "Still believe in love". The premiere of his video will be on Wednesday, 26th January 2000 at 20.00 CET on VIVA. BTW Link to Gabi's site to learn more about Bastiaan's Ragas official fan club "Voice of Dreams". Hello dearest CITA webSite visitors!
It's 2000!!! I hope that you all will have just a splendid year and that you'll be thinking of our CITA guys! I also hope that there will be more things happening this year. Last time I wrote that I'm not sure if Bastiaan's album was out yet in Germany. Well now I know, thanks to Mandy, Konni and Silke. And the answer is that it isn't out yeat and that it will be most probably out some time in March or April this year. The information about Lee is true though - yes he is STILL working on his album. Benjamin will continue his tour very soon (I'll keep you informed) and Eloy is also thinking of making his album. 
I got a few interviews from Betty Lui - thanks Betty. I published them in the Interviews and Articles section. You can read them here. (BTW - they are actually about Stephen, but since there are some new stuff about Eloy I decide to publish them).
