AUTECHRE

Autechre knows a few things about music. First off all, never make that pop/techno/easly recognisable melodie songs. Instead, start with something really basic and add a litle bit of sugar once in a while to make the songs more enjoyable as the time past. At the end of an Authechre songs, there is just too much layer adding up, making the melodie unclear and unreachable, enven tough you just know that it's there... Be warn tough, extremely synthetic, very odd textures of sounds are to be expected.

ORDER CD

Hummm, Amber. The first album I've heard of Autechre and still the best to me. Each and every songs on this album is delicious for the ears and the body. I just still remember that crazy feeling I had when I put this one in my cd player.

ORDER CD

This is suppose to be a single disk album, but here in north america, we have the chance to listent to 2 bonus EP on an additionnal disk! This is great since Autechre's album are rather hard to find and sometimes just way out of price. Anyway, Try repetae is a impressive piece of work from a duo of impressive creativity. Lots of odd textures, cool and minimal noise (or sound, if you prefer) without beign trap in some sort of pathetic/only rythme music. In fact, there is some pieces of excellent keyboard-only here and very progressive melodies.. like always.

Anvil Varpe:

The second cd start with the four-songs Anvil Varpe, and it's start quite intensively with second bad vilbel that scream like hell in your speaker. Lather on, we are confronted to some ambient music to relaxe a bit and to introduce the Garbage EP.

Garbage:

Garbage is smoothe and quiet, just how I like Autechre. The last songs is simply amazing: almost 10 minutes of soothing keyboards with absolutely no other background noises except to other layers that just keeping on adding on top of each other creating a highly complex melodic songs from a simple 3 chords paterns

ORDER CD

There is a little twist with this new autechre: more break-beat/unbalance rythmes than before. You'll also find that the keyboard use un this album sounds like church organ, giving songs a darker tone. Overall, a good album to listen to if you like previous release of Autechre.
