VERSUS -The alternative era

A different approach of a new era of alternative music. Released in 1993 after the rising influence of the glory days of alternative music...THE NEXT BIG THING AFTER GUN N ROSES!!....One of my favourite albums. The late drummer, Krusen was replaced by Abburuzze, a powerful and energetic percussionist. I kinda like the way he played in this album.

GO
A new era of Pearl Jam...a drop D riff

ANIMAL
Great riffs and a follow up after Go....

DAUGHTER
Dropped-G tuning with simple open chords...one of the hits songs..."Daughter" is about an abused daughter

GLORIFIED-G
Another amazing song...talks about gun control and how we (as a country) have an obsession with guns...

DISSIDENT
Dramatic yet heavily spoken...not my favourite.

W.M.A
A dazzling drumwork by Aburuzzee...it happens when Eddie saw a drifter beaten by police while on his way to the studio.

BLOOD
Messy drug addiction....something about Mike's drug program!

REARVIEW MIRROR
One of my favourite song in the album...should be one of the best about mirrors.

RATS
About rats?? Nice slide work by McCready

ELDERLY WOMEN BEHIND THE COUNTER IN A SMALL TOWN
Great acoustic sound...you should hear the early recording of this song. This is about when you see someone that you haven't seen in a long time.

LEASH
Distorted sound sounded like real music.

INDIFFERENCE
Slow yet catch the feel of the music. it's about losing love. Also about how your live is changed when there isn't anybody in your life anymore.
