RIO (the whole album) A++
We all know Duran Duran was one of the leading 80's bands. I think their
best album was RIO because there are so many cool songs on it. Like,
"Last Chance On The Stairway", "My Own Way" (awesome guitar riff!) and
"Save A Prayar".
It's very cool stuff.

Hey! Here's an inspiring peice on Duran Duran:
"I've always liked Duran Duran, my brother was a fan of theirs in the 80's
(now he is 32) So I sort of inherited his collection of Duran memorabilia (he
was a Roger fan, cos he played the drums, so he basically stopped liking them
when Roger left) My first tape that I ever bought was "Rio" when I was five
years old. Alas, they were not my first concert (that award goes to the ever
popular and ever copycated New Kids on the Block in 1989, but then again,
weren't they copycats of Duran?)
So anyway, back the the high school thing. When the Wedding Album came out in
1993, I think I was in 7th or 8th grade, and I was so thrilled that they were
big again. For the first time, I was the trend setter, I was the one who
didn't have to run out and buy the entire Duran back catalog (which Catholic
school girls with lots of money have a tendency to do to show off) The
success they had with the Wedding Album catapulted me to a sage-icon status
in my 7th grade class. Before this I was the smart, short, semi-fattish girl
who really didn't belong cos her father lost his job and couldn't afford
tuition. Now I was the one to go to if someone had a Duran question. It was
fabulous.
When I graduated from the 8th grade in 1994, our song was "Ordinary World"
You do not know how great of a feeling it was for everyone to like the same
thing I did, and therefore, to be accepted. But things were going to change
rapidly.
I started Bayside in September 1994, and I was in for a real shocker. It is a
magnet school, that draws people from all over the city because of its
wonderful programs. I was, once again, an outsider. NO ONE had even heard of
Duran. And in addition to that, I was ridiculed for liking such "stupid"
music. I didn't know what to do, so I followed along with the crowd. I did
not really have much self esteem in my first year, but as I grew older, I
began to feel more like an individual. I came into my 10th grade class with
orange hair, and for the rest of my high school career, almost every week I
would have a new hair color (or hair style). And I did not give a crap what
other people thought of the music I liked, I told them about it anyway. I
soon had a group of close friends, who were semi-Duran knowledgeable, and
that is where I got my nickname of "Nicky Rhodes" (read the hair)
Now I am in college in Manhattan, and I work in the East Village. Some people
still smirk at me when I walk down the street wearing my "Wild Boys" t-shirt,
or have the Nick pin on my bag. But some people actually stop me or ask me
where I got them, and I tell them. I am more comfortable with the person I am
today, and my music partially has to do with this. Sometimes I wish I was
back in the heyday of it all, when it was "very cool" to like Duran, but most
of me is glad that I am 19 in 1999. I don't have to follow crowds to make
myself happy, I do not have to fit into status quo in order to feel like I am
a worthwhile person. I just have to be me."
