Tone Unknown  played  the very first show at the Hardback on April  20th, 1989.  This flyer was controversial in that its depiction of a
prehistoric fertility goddesswas not in conformity with UF's non-gender bias policy, and so the flyers were removed  from campus kiosks,
and a letter of complaint was sent to the Hardback warning of its non-conformity. Needless to say, we considered the issue tobe ludicrous.
Neither the Hardback nor (almost) any band that ever played there could be thought of as sexist!
