"Hi! My name's Spike, but my real name is Simon James Dawbarn. I'm 21 and I was born in Warrington near Manchester, and my favourite colour is red - same as the Man Utd strip!

I've known Jimmy for years. We used to be the dancers on The Hitman and Her - I actually went to dance college. I tried working on a building site once, but it didn't suit me. Actually, I got the sack! The others say I'm the quiet one.

Being in 911 is just brilliant. Dancing and singing on stage in front of the crowd - it's a great feeling."

Our first single was Night to Remember. It came out in April '96 and got to 38 in the charts. We made the video in a bus depot and out on a double decker - it was a real laugh!

Spike

"Hiya! My name's Lee Anthony Brennan, I'm from Carlisle and I'm 20. I got into 911 because my sister fancied Spike, so I went to see them when they came to Carlisle to do a roadshow. I was working at a bowling centre at the time, so I'm not sorry I changed jobs! Good one, Sis!

The last year's been amazing. We've worked really hard and performed just about everywhere, and it payed off when Smash Hits voted us second-best newcomer after the Spice Girls.

We're all really excited about our album, which will be coming out in February. It's going to be a really busy time for us, so we'll see you around! And don't forget to leave a message for us in Heart2Heart."

Lee

"Hi there, my name's James Michael Constable, but I'm known as Jimmy. I was born in Liverpool, I'm 22 and I'm having a great time in 911.

Spike and me decided to start 911 because on The Hitman and Her we were getting a better response than the acts we were supporting. Spike's a really nice bloke, and Lee's great too. We all get on really well.

They say I'm a bit of a joker, which is true, but we have to work really hard to keep it going. We've just finished our first album, which was really good. We worked with a bunch of different people on the songs and there's quite a mix of styles on it. I hope you like it."

The second single we made was Love Sensation. It was a summer hit in August last year, and made it to number 21 in the chart. Making the video was easy - we spent most of the time just larking around on the beach!
