WHAT KIND OF UPBRINGING DID YOU HAVE?: Regular working-class
WAS YOUR FAMILY MUSICALLY INCLINED? I have one uncle who plays
guitar and keyboards and a couple cousins were also involved in music -
they both played trumpet and one of them was actually an orchestra leader
at the Roseland ballroom in New York, but I'm the only member of the family
to take it seriosuly on a rock 'n' roll level.
WHAT WERE YOU GOOD AT IN SCHOOL?: Histroy, music and art
WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE AS A KID?: A doctor, strange as it may
seem.
PROFESSIONAL JOBS OTHER THAN AS A MUSICIAN: Selling baby pictures
door-to-door, as well as working as a salesman in department stores and
camera shops. I also worked as an orderly in a hospital.
MUSICAL TRAINING: I was originally self-taught, but after grauating
highschool I studied music at college for two years.
EARLY INFLUENCES: Eric Clapton, jeff beck and Jimi Hendrix

INSTRUMENTS YOU PLAY: Apart from Guitar, I mess around with keyboards
and percussion.

MUSIC YOU ENJOY LISTENING TO: My favorite music is heavy rock,
but I like different types of rock 'n' roll and classical music.
ANY TYPE YOU DISLKIE: Anything mechanical - music that sounds
contrived.
IDEAL MEAL: A good Chinese dinner with a big Polynesian drink

PET HATES: Misbehaved children, loud obnoxious people at the
movies and people stepping on my foot - particularly heavy people!

MOST EMBARRASING MOMENT: Ripping my pants onstage at one of the
first gigs I ever played!
MOST FOOLISH THING YOU'VE EVER DONE: I almost jumped off a ferryboat
once, as a dare, but in the end I chickened out.
