I tried on all the home and away kits in the room where the referee gets changed, then went to have my first pictures done in the Kop, where all the Liverpool fans stand. Later I went down onto the pitch to have some photos taken as I kicked a ball around - and I scored in the Kop end! Only a few days before I met the two future kings of England, so when I scored at Anfield it meant that two of my biggest dreams had cometrue within a week.
Not long ago, I saw a programme on Channel 4 about a disabled teenage lad who'd been trying to get a season tickets at Anfield for about 4 years, but couldn't because they just cannot accomodate another wheelchair. Basically, he's got to wait until somebody gives up their ticket, which isn't very soon because the waiting list is huge.
So I decided to look into buying a permanent seat or maybe two seats for disabled fans. The plan is to set up a list of people who want to go to the match and rotate it, so that everyone has the chance to see Liverpool play. It's going to be the Mel C seat and hopefully the scheme will be up and running starting next season.
I also had my photo taken leaning against the goal post, sitting on the bench, touching the famous Anfield sign and in the team changing room! It was amazing - I could see all the players' names on their football shirts, which were hung up round the room. I was given the number 10, which was brilliant, because I play midfield.
