I learnt through trial and error after seeing some really dodgy photos of myself. One day I did a really cheesy grin and I looked alright, so now I just pull the same face on every single photo we do! I like the feeling of being mean and moody and sultrty, but it looks crap in photos. So I always do a cheesy smile and stand next to Emma so I don't look out of place. It's different for everyone. For instance Vidtoria prefers the way she looks when she's not smiling, whereas Emma's always grinning. It's whatever suits you and how you're feeling at the time. You should never put on a face because it can look awkward.
Try to be natural, even though it's hard, especially when you're trying too much. When you're nervous, you sometimes get a dry mouth and then your top lip sticks when you try to smile. That's rather embarassing! So always have a drink of water nearby.
I don't worry about it too much. If the photographer's nice, he'll direct you when you pose so that your double chin isn't showing and you dont have dark cicles under your eyes!

My advice is to smile and hold your tummy in!

It's hard to smile naturally. In fact, I can't do it! When I get nervous I just look miserable and pout. Good posture is important. The perfect pout happens naturally. You don't necessarily try, you just relax your mouth.
I used to hate it when we first started having our photographs taken. I didn't know what to do with my face to make it look its best because I've never spent hours in front of the mirror testing out my expressions.
