Mel C is my favorite spice, mostly because she's quite much like me : ) Mel C is an ardent Liverpool supporter (like I), so she can't do much wrong. But then you'd guess this from her Liverpudlian accent. Mel C says she's the sporty member of the group, so the nickname was an obvious choice. She believes in Santa Claus, because she saw him when she went to Lappland. Mel C was born in Widnes (or Cheshire or Merseyside, I don't know about it 'cause I'm a stupid finn and don't know much about England's geography so if anyone knows the truth, please tell me!!!) Always seems to wear tracksuits. Like all the other Spice Girls, she's into this Girl Power thing, which is very good thing indeed (Yeah, I'm male, so what? Can't I support Girl Power???)
Well, it's widely reported that they're not a manufactured band like loads of the boy bands that are about at the moment. Mel C did some kind of dance show with Mel B once, and so this is she had her first contact with one of the other Spice Girls. Her ambitions, surprisingly enough, are to be a good footballer, and watch Liverpool do the treble. In terms of musical preferences, we assume that she likes her own music, but also that of Madonna, Neneh Cherry, Bruce Willis and perhaps also those Manic Street Preachers where everything must go. Well, it could be a lot worse, this isn't too bad a selection. Also she apparently likes Blur and Oasis. So , if you want to get with her then listen carefully.... you've got to be a good laugh, get on with her mates and like football... and I guess we can also apply that ubiquitous Spice Girl stock phrase: "Gotta be a 90s man who's cool with himself". Or be Bruce Willis, whichever's easier. Oh, and you probably have to say you'll be there.
There's been lots
of debate about Melanie's past recently. Some papers claimed that she has
used drugs younger, but if I understood right, it's not true. Most recent
information tells that she was a shoplifter before joining Spice Girls,
That's because she was unemployed and she didn't have any money. I'm sure
we can forgive her, can't we??? : )
