The
Harrisong A five day break at Wilson's Promontory, a large nature area at the southern most point of continental Australia, was where I began this Brief History Of The Harrisong. The goal is to look at George Harrison as a writer, singer and producer of songs during the term of his time as a Beatle. What I hope will emerge is a picture of his development in those hectic seven years. To concentrate on the growth, I have kept the treatment of the songs brief, and avoided his other functions within the group and relationships with other band members wherever I could. I will supply The Harrisong (1), dealing with pre-1963, after I finish work on the Decca and BBC sessions.
