A creative guitarist
Armando Corsi is one of the most appreciated musicians at this moment: with his guitar he played for many artists such as Anna Oxa and Tosca. He had duets with the Spanish guitarist Paco De Lucia, playing precious virtuosities.
Recently Armando recorded three albums and a sound track with the Italian artist Ivano Fossati and collaborated with the singer Ornella Vanoni on the Cd "Argilla". He recorded two solo albums "Itinerari" (1995) and "Milonga secondo Matteo" (1996 - together with Arcari, Lattes, Maras and Salis) in a perfect Ecm sound style.
THE VIDEO "ANIMA LATINA"
His new
video "ANIMA LATINA" (Latin soul) presents a new conception in the educational
video system. The heart of his work is melody, the most typical characteristic of Latin
music.
The video "ANIMA LATINA" is a musical journey in eight pieces, inspired from the guitar traditions of the Latin countries. Armando's guitar starts from Spain with the spectacular song "Sonatina" (I. Fossati), landing at the Caribbe an sea with "El Sol" in order to come to Brazil with the lively "Puerto San Miguel" (both composed by Corsi).
A beautiful part is dedicated to the Italian traditions: his guitar plays songs from Naples and Genoa and a piece of deep atmosphere, "La culla di giunco" (A. Corsi). The musical trip ends with the virtuoso "Encantado" (A. Corsi) dedicated to Argentina.
Many extraordinary musicians played in the video: Rosario Bonaccorso (double-bass), Gianni Branca (ethnic drumset), Ettore Fioravanti (drums), Antonio Marangolo (sax), Adriano Mondini (oboe), Antonella Sera' (voice - percussion), Dado Sezzi (percussion), Luciano Susto (fretless bass).
ROSARIO BONACCORSO, jazz bassist, he collaborated with Steve Grossman, Billy Cobham, Enrico Rava and others.
GIANNI BRANCA, ethnic drummer, awarded on the "Percfest '97" international challenge. He published the educational video "La batteria etnica" (The ethnic drumset - Musidea Video 1997).
ETTORE FIORAVANTI, jazz drummer, he collaborated with Ornella Vanoni, Tony Scott, Enrico Rava, Dave Liebman, Mal Waldron, Steve Swallow, Steve Lacy, Kenny Wheeler and many others.
ADRIANO MONDINI, oboist, he collaborated with Pavarotti, Ughi, Accardo, Max Roach, Anthony Braxton and other Italian artists.
The video
is good for every kind of music-lover, 'cos the music of Armando Corsi goes deep to the
heart and his guitar lessons are more than music lessons.
"ANIMA LATINA" is produced by Mario A. Riggio (Musidea Video) and the video is recorded by Peak Time.
