Years have passed
Do you recall?
Giving life to a little girl
You loved her...held her
gave her a name
Welcomed her into your world
As time went by
you taught this child
things that she needed to know
Throughout her youth
you were there for her
watching and helping her grow
Perhaps she grew a bit too fast
and at times you felt left out
Maybe this child didn't show enough love
which gave you reason to doubt
Years flew by so very fast
your little one is now all grown
When did this happen?
Suddenly it seems
She has children of her own
But your child still needs oh so badly
the love that only you can give
