Chapter 5-
Brian looked out the window and whined. He didn't want to the vet's, oh I mean, hospital. He was sane, dangit, and he was Fox Mulder. Suddenly walking along the side of the road was Dennis Rodman. Now, Brian didn't know if he was an alien, but he was willing to bet money on it. He grabbed the wheel from Ashley, making the car do a complete 360, go up on its wheels, come down, and do a flip onto it's back. Dennis held up a sign that said "10 Points" on it. Ashley started to grab Brian's collar which had gotten loose from her hand during the crash. Brian ran out and slugged Dennis Rodman. Ashley was sitting on her car goin, "How am I ever goin' to find another car at that price, in that condition at Budget again". Suddenly she looked up at the slug fest between Dennis and Brian. She started to yell, "Go Brian! Whoo! Take that donkey cart all the way to San Hose! Yeah!" After ten minutes of slugging Dennis Rodman picked up Ashley's car to throw at Brian. Dennis suddenly realized he could not lift up a ton of metal, and it fell on his hair, bounced up, and hit his shoulders pinning him to the ground.
Brian did a happy dance, and jumped up and down like Rocky in Rocky I, "Man! I feel like I just won on Celebrity Death Match." Ashley chuckled remembering Jack Nicholson vs. Leonardo DiCaprio on that show. She didn't care for Leo, and liked to fantasize about it really happening. She looked over and said, "Oh my gosh. You killed Dennis!" Brian chimed in with "You ba..." Dennis gasped and said, "They'll find you and take your body like the rest. Just let it happen Brian. You'll feel so much better." Then Dennis went into that big basketball court/wrestling ring in the sky. Ashley didn't take these last words too deeply. Her Grandmother's last words were, "But I've got to wait for the rat motel reservations to go through." So really, last words weren't very meaningful to Ashley. She was more worried about Dennis Rodman under HER car, dead, his blood on both Brian and her to really worry about aliens. She grabbed Brian's collar and ran into the woods. She suddenly realised, in Texas there were no woods. So Ashley ran over to the stable where she'd found Brian.
Brian was reminiscing the fight, "Did you see how hard I punched him Scully? I bet my grandma couldn't do better than that.!" Ashley hit Brian, halfway hoping he'd come out of it, and halfway hoping that she hit him hard enough to get him to be quiet. Brian kept on talking. Ashley sat down and started to plan her escape to Nepal. After a little while she realized she'd have to get shots, and that sort of thing didn't appeal to Ashley. Ashley heard dogs in the distance. This was not unusual, there was a Chinese Restaurant down the street. Ashley started to wander if anybody would actually care about Dennis Rodman dieing in the fifth hour she was out there. Hunger overswept Ashley, and even though she knew she'd regret it, went holding Brian's collar to the Chinese place.
After the meal, Ashley went outside to the lamppost where she had tied Brian up. Brian wasn't there. Ashley, being a caring, loving person, went back to the stable. She sat, and into the part of her brian aforementioned called Noahland. Soon she heard police sirens. She ducked behind the stalls and waited for the police to turn into the driveway. To her surprise, they didn't, but turned into the Chinese restaraunt. It was a huge scene, and Ashley watched as they lead Brian out and gave him a bone to chew on. Sudden pangs of guilt hit Ashley, and she went to go claim Brian.
Ashley decided that no one actually cared about the murder and brought Brian back to the house.
Brian took Ashley's hand and said, "I love you Scully. You heard what the alien said, didn't you? What more proof do you need?" Ashley shook her head and said, "Your cat scan, and a spaceship Brian. I mean, Mulder." Brian held Ashley's hand tighter, and said, "I can show you the second one." Ashley laughed and got ready for Brian to take her to Space Burger, or the Seattle Space Needle. She told Brian that he should go lie down, and went to go wash her shirt.
She heard the distinct roar of a '92 Dodge and ran out to see who was stealing Skye's car. Brian was barreling down the street towards the field in town. Ashley ran to go stop him, and Brian opened the door (while the car was moving) and told her to get in. Ashley yelled, "Smooth move, Brian or Fox or whoever. I can't jump into a speeding car, even if it is going 20 in a 75 zone (that was the fastest Skye's Dodge could go)." She hopped in and wondered why she jumped into the car with an insane man behind the wheel.
