Robert Ri'chard

Robert Andrew Ri'chard has definitely proven that he can walk with the big dogs. At a very young age, Robert has already worked with some very high-brass actors including: Louis Gossett Jr., Pam Grier, Forest Whitaker, Jasmine Guy, Vanessa L. Williams, James Earl Jones, Eartha Kitt, Ben Vereen, Judd Nelson, Victoria Rowell, Jennifer Beals, Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee. I'd say with Robert's resume, he's definitely established himself in the entertainment business.

A while back, Robert won a well-deserved Daytime Emmy Award for his role opposite Louis Gossett, Jr. in the television film "In His Father's Shoes." Other TV credits include his role on "One On One" as Arnaz, he had a guest-starring role on "Touched By An Angel," he appeared on "Nash Bridges" and "The Bold and the Beautiful." "My Wife and Kids", "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper", "Promised Land," "The Jamie Foxx Show" and many many others. He has also been featured in various Nickelodeon productions like "Nickelodeon Sports Theatre" and had a starring role in a series called "My Cousin Skeeter."

If that isn't enough, add theater to his resume and you'll find that Robert's talents have been on display onstage in such productions as "P.O.W.," "Secret Parts" and "Double or Nothing."

Robert also did an extraordinary job of playing Marcel St. Marie in the Showtime original mini-series "The Feast of All Saints" which was based on the novel by Anne Rice about the "Free People Of Color" in New Orleans in the 1840s. Robert played Marcel, a 16-year-old boy with a white, rich father and a free bi-racial mother. He did an excellent job. If you haven't seen it yet, you've missed out.

Robert's family (which would be his parents: he has no siblings) has a history of traveling wherever he does. And as for his friends, they have been known to fly to see Robert when he is in other cities. They hang out and even do their homework together.

While his parents have encouraged him in his acting, he says his family doesn't have an entertainment background. Robert got involved through being on the stage crew at his school. He started acting at the encouragement of friends. He took acting classes and ended up getting discovered during a five-week talent search at the Ivar theater in Hollywood. He finally captured first place at the end of the final week.

If you're wondering if Robert works out, to keep in shape, the answer is yes. In his free time he likes to play baseball, football, basketball and sometimes a little volleyball. He also runs track and likes to bowl. As for music, Robert is a Tupac fan. But his collection boasts of various greats like Babyface, Miles Davis, and Snoop Dogg too.

In 1999 Robert played the lead in "Light It Up", a film co-starring Vanessa L. Williams, Fredro Starr, and Usher Raymond. In his last film "Who's Your Daddy" he appeared alongside Kadeem Hardison.
