well then I have two friends.

Not buddies.
Not aquaintances.
Not pals, chums or even lackeys.
God knows I've got enough of them anyhow.

Not fully because of what you are
but more of what I am.

But then there's these two.
These two who help me at every oppurtunity.
These two who make my life bearable when I'm seething and burnt out.
These two who make me fear I am not nearly as nice to them as they deserve to be treated.
These two who give me strength, who bring me happiness,
who manage to kick my ass for me and help me fly straight when I get off course.
They are superior to you and I.
They are better and they are more.
They are much more than I, because in reality, even I could not put up with someone like me as they have.
And not only do they bear me,
they genuinely care about me
they genuinely know me
and I know they love me as I love them.
I can call them idiots,
and they in return can call me a moron
and it's all okay.
I can make suggestions to them
and they can add their insight to my life
and it's all okay.
They know how hard it is.
They know where the problem lies and what to say,
though they always say that their words are probably too clumsy for me to find any aid in.
I'll not name names,
because they're not about popularity.
They had better know who they are,
because right now they're not just all I have left,
but they're all I need,
and maybe if I had just realized that a little bit earlier
I wouldn't have spent so much time down in the dumps this week.
You guys are incredible.

You bitches ARE the pounding of my heart and you ARE the breath in my lungs and you ARE the determination in my eyes...
that one day, maybe other people will rub their own eyes and finally grasp,
