This is some tab for a group called the Refreshments. They come from the
area where I live, Tempe, Az. It's a pretty cool song.
THE REFRESHMENTS
with
BANDITOS
frome their first major label release on Mercury
FIZZY, FUZZY, BIG AND BUZZY
notes in () means you don't pick them after a slide
This is only the main riffs. The solos are pretty hard and I only know half
of the first one
Main Riff: (notes on high E should actually be played just a little bit
behind the slide)
for this part use middle finger on G, ring finger on high E
E-------4---------0----------4----------0----------4---------0-----------4--
--------0----
B---------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------
G--2/(4)------4\(2)-----2/(4)------4\(2)------2/(4)-----4\(2)------2/(4)----
---4\(2)--
D---------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------
A---------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------
E---------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------- --
this part is faster get slower again
faster again
now use index on high E ring on high E index
E------4----------5------5------5-------------10------9-----7--------5-----4
h5-4--
B---------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------
G--2/(4)-----4/(6)---------6--------8/(11)--------9------7-------6----------
-------
D---------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------
A---------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------
E---------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------
This riff is for the "Give your id card to the border gaurd part":
I find it easiest to play this part with index
across all three strings, and use only my middle play this part 3 times,
I think
E----------------4--5----4------------------------------I-------------I-----
------
B--5---4---5---5--5----5-5-----4-5---4-5---5-------I-------------I-----------
G-4----4--4---------------4-----4-4---4-4---4-------I-------------I-----------
D-------------------------------------------------------I-4-4-6-4---I-------
-----
A-------------------------------------------------------I-2-2-2-2---I-----------
E-------------------------------------------------------I--------------I----
--------
This part is for the "Everybody knows the world is full of stupid people part"
this is played in a very choppy statacco manner, (did I spell that right?)
E---------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------
B---------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------
G----2---2---4---4------------6---6---2---2---4---4---------------*---------
-------
D----2---2---4---4---2---2---6---6---2---2---4---4------2---2---22----------
-----
A----0---0---2---2---2---2---4---4---0---0---2---2---2-0-2-0-6-00-----------
--------
E----------------------0---0------------------------------0----0---4--------
------------
*these two chords are very quick compared to most of this, the five before
semiquick
and it keeps going these last two are pretty drawn out
E---------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------
B---------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------
G--2---2---4---4------------6---6----2---------4----------------------------
-------
D--2---2---4---4---2---2---6---6----2---------4-----------------------------
------
A--0---0---2---2---2---2---4---4----0---------2-----------------------------
-------
E--------------------0---0--------------------------------------------------
--------------
Those are all the major riff sections, I know there are solos but both are
long and hard so I suggest someone else tab them out
This was tabbed out by Andy Delton, although he of course has no idea what
he's doing and had his guitar teacher, Scott Staley (who has actually played
with and was almost punched out by the lead singer/songwriter of this
band!), tab it out for him.
Buy the Refreshments album, they're pretty much the best band around
Oh, there is a rhthym guitar part for this entire song, but it's mostly just
a bunch of two note power chords and pretty boring to play by itself
compared to this
