Let's talk about love
OTT's ace new single, The Story of Love is our fave song from the lads to date. We got Niall, their chief sotyteller, to tell us a tale of love, happiness and a warrior princess!
If love is a story, how much have you read?
I've read the whole thing. No. Let's say love is a story with three volumes and I've read the first - the scenes of growing up, seeing someone fall in love, things like that. I'll be moving on soon. I hope! I'm at the kind of on my own' stage at the moment. Hopefully I'll be starting a chapter in the second volume. And then the third will be about starting a family!
What about the rest of the guys?
Alan and Adam are always saying they've never fallen in love. And I know Glen hasn't, because, well, I've been out with him (not in a kissy kind of way, 'course). Alan and Adam have maybe done some skip-reading of the story, about 40 pages! But Glen's still on the introduction!
Would you skip ahead to see how the story ends?
No way. That's the whole thing about falling in love - it's something you never expect. It's much better to just let it happen. You never know whether it's going to be the real thing or not.
Can you foresee a happy ending?
Definitely. I think there's someone out there for everydody.
If you were to start the next chapter, what would be the opening line?
"Finally something clicks." Then, "He has a stomach twinge, it's either food poisoning or else he's falling for somebody!" Ha ha.
And who would you pick to write ito with you?
Xena: Warrior Princess! Now there's one woman I could feel comfortable and safe with - she'd be able to bash others up!
So, what would the story of OTT be about?
Four dazzling young individuals who take the world by storm, meet four princesses and live happily ever after. That's what everyone wants - a fairytale.
What would the title be?
Made For It! Or OTT - Always OTT!
And if they made the book into a movie, who'd play the four of you?
OK, let's see...I'll have to choose someone really good for myself, and have a laugh with the others! So, we could get Danny De Vito to play Glen, and Val Kilmer to play me. I suppose we could get Ewan McGregor to play Adam. And who's a really, really hairy bloke who could to play Alan? I know. Tom Jones!
In the complete story of OTT, how far have you got?
Just starting Book Two in a three part epic! and it would definitely be an epic. There's so much more to come from us. This is only the beginning. We're still on the way up, and we haven't reached the part where we settle down and have families. Yeah, we're still only climbing at the moment..
