Rocky Horror
Little review of the movie/play

The Rocky Horror Picture Show. One crazy and twistedly sick movie, yet so much enjoyment. Depends on how you watch it, it can be either funny and amusing, or sick and annoying. Here's the low-down on the whole movie.

Characters are as follows:

        Brad Majors (Barry Bostwick):
The "hero" of the story. Gets engaged to Janet Wice in very beginning of the movie. "Asshole."
        Janet Weiss (Susan Sarandon):
The "heroine" of the story. Ends up cheating on Brad in the process of the whole film. "Slut."
Doctor Frank N. Furter (Tim Currey):
The basic main character of the movie. Half way through, he introduces his "Creation."
        Rocky Horror (Peter Hinwood):
The blond boy Janet uses to cheat on Brad with. Frank N. Furter's "Creation."
        Riff Raff (Richard O'Brien):
The Handyman to Frank N. Furter. Magenta's brother.
        Magenta (Patrica Quinn):
Maid/Servent to Frank N. Furter. Riff Raff's "beautiful" sister.
        Columbia (Little Nell):
Also maid/servent to Frank N. Furter. In love with Eddie throughout whole movie, even after what Frank N. Furter does to him.
        Doctor Everett Scott (Jonathan Adams):
Responisble for Brad and Janet meeting and falling in love.
        Eddie (Meatloaf):
Ex-delivery boy, nephew to Everett Scott. Love rock and roll. Killed brutality by Frank N. Furter.
        The Criminologist (Charles Gray):
The narrator of the movie, directs you through everything. "Bor-ing."

I can't really tell you the story without giving anything away, but most of you have probably already seen it, so I won't bother explaining what happens and all that.
When the original script was written, with it was little sayings that the viewers say to make the movie/play more funny.

Examples:

Whenever the name "Brad" is mentioned, viewer is supposed to say "Asshole," and whenever the name "Janet" is mentioned, viewer is supposed to say "Slut."
When Brad and Janet are getting stripped down to their underwear in the castle, the viewer is supposed to yell "Brad, how do you spell 'urine'?" before Brad mumbles "You...are...I..."
In the beginning of the film, during that opening song, after those first few lines of "Michael Annie was ill the day the Earth stood still, but he told us where we stand...," viewer is supposed to stand up and yell "On our feet!"
Whenever the Criminologist appears, no matter what part it is in the film/play, the viewers are to yell out "Bor-ing."

The play is much better than the movie, mostly because you'll have a bigger audience to watch it with, and to yell out all those sayings during it all. I'd suggest you go and see it whenever someone does it in your area. You won't regret it!
