Michelle's Story: The Backstreet Boys Concert
~ Saturday, August 22, 1998~
- Molson Amphitheatre - Toronto - 2:30pm -

I was at the BSB concert on August 22 also, which just happened to be my birthday, as well as Howie's! So all I have to say about the overall concert is that it was G-R-E-A-T !! :o) I was also seated in the 200 level, row Y, but I was at the 2:30 show! You might have noticed me, I was the one with the "Happy Birthday To Me And Howie" sign and the flags.

Anyways the guys solos were awesome except for the fact that when Nick sang Heaven In Your Eyes, the fans went wild and I couldn't hear a thing!! I really wish he would've sang the whole song, but he didn't. These girls 2 rows in front of us kept holding up a sign that was blocking our view as well as the row in front of us. Anyways the teens in front of us decided to start a little garbage fight and threw trash at the sign to get them to put it down. They succeeded, AND I COULD SEE AGAIN!!!

Okay so for the last 3 or 4 songs my Mom noticed that Howie was missing!!! I stood on my seat and saw him there singing with the guys, but there was only 4 guys!!! AJ was gone!! :o( My Mom thought Howie was AJ and so on...

Anyways the guys continued to sing without AJ, as rumors began to quickly spread throughout the theatre. They managed to finish the show cuz THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!! ;o) Later as the fans began to leave, a stretcher was brought on stage!! Everyone started screaming and yelling "AJ!!!!". One of the police officers said sarcastically that AJ had stubbed his toe and demanded a stretcher. As this cop was trying to be funny (so funny that I forgot to laugh) AJ was backstage suffering from a torn quadricep muscle! He was taken to Mount Sinai hospital and later released. He couldn't do the 8:00 show, or the next day's show in Montreal!

For all of you that were wondering where AJ was at 8:00, well he was probably in some hospital room having a bandage wrapped around his foot!! The best of luck to you guys!!! *KTBPA*
