Wannabe Goths
Ok this is my first rant on my homepage, so here goes.
Basically, I am sick of all those little wannabe goths who mope around all the time wearing black bitching about how everything sucks and that life isn't worth living and that they all want to die.
Ok fine. Die. I'll even hold the gun for you.
Look, being goth is not just about being morbid. The people I've met who I consider to be TRUE goths don't waste their time trying to act depressed and philosophical and shit. And that is what it all is for the wannabes, a big ACT. And they aren't even that good at it. True goths don't have to ACT depressed. Most of them ARE naturally. But we also have fun. We laugh. We make jokes. We *GASP* ENJOY life.
Yes I am Goth. Yes I wear black.(Occasionally) Yes I listen to NIN and other "goth" music. Yes I write depressive poetry. Yes I like movies like "A Clockwork Orange". But I don't like them because I am a goth. I like them because that is the way I am. I don't like them because I SHOULD. I don't like them because it makes other people think I am cool. I DO NOT act. I don't have to. I AM goth.
So all you wannabes out there-get a life. be your own self. Don't copy other people. Ok, so what if you don't fit in mainstream. Most real goths don't. We are the bizarre ones. The ones who find death not scary, but natural. But by trying to fit in with us, you are making the same mistake all the "popular" kids do. Don't conform to anyone except yourself.
I guess the reason why the wannabes annoy so many people is because they make the real goths out there look stupid by association. I mean, running around in black with pale makeup on and pretending to vampires, and beiong morbid and stuff is fun. But how can people LIVE like that 24-7? I mean seriously. If you ACT depressed all the time, eventually you become so. I am bipolar. I get depressed naturally. I am suicidal. I don't need to fucking act.
Basically, all you wannabes out there...get a grip on life.
That's it.
Peace and love and stuff
