Bob Geldof and The Boomtown Rats

Welcome to my tribute page honoring one of my favorite bands of all time, The Boomtown Rats.

During the late 1970s and early 1980s, the Boomtown Rats, led by Bob Geldof a.k.a Mr. Loudmouth, were one of the most innovative and influential bands of the New Wave era. The Rats disbanded in the mid-80s but their music lives on in the hearts of their fans.

Finally!!!   The entire catalog of The Boomtown Rats is now available on compact disc.  These cds are available now from both Amazon.com in the U.S. and Amazon.co.uk in the U.K.    Each of the reissued albums include a few extra bonus tracks making these a MUST HAVE for all fans of The Rats or Bob Geldof.

Jiggerypipery is a "Celtic Rock & Roll band" featuring Simon Crowe on drums and percussion, James Robertson on the great highland bagpipes, Tony Bayliss on guitar and vocals, Carl Allerfeldt on the fiddle, and Pete Bingham on bass guitar.

They've just released a new album entitled "The Drift".  It can be purchased at Amazon.co.uk or more information can be found at their website
(just click on the band name above to go to their website).

Also, there has been some discussion from members of the fan club that VH1 should do a spotlight on The Boomtown Rats. How about sending VH1 some e-mail at the following address and requesting that they follow up on this fabulous idea. The e-mail address is
