AXIS: BOLD AS LOVE
On October 31, 1967, when Jimi, Chandler and Kramer had spent a very long time mixing together this album, Jimi took the tapes with him on a party. When he came back, he had left the A side in a taxi. Having this being a little inconvenient, as the album was scheduled for release, they sent Noel out to look in every taxi in town while Jimi, Chas and Eddie started to mix it all over again, all in eleven hours. On If 6 Was 9, they had to use an old tape of Noel's, that was so desttroyed they had to iron it before running it through the machine.
The U.S. release was delayed because of the rescent release of Get That Feeling, a tapid record of The Squires, where Jimi backed.
