As it always does, a lot has happened since my last entry.   It hasn’t even been that long since I wrote last either.   Well, I passed my very next ride after hooking.  Overall it was a much better ride, but I still have much work to do.  I should have solo-ed today but the weather killed me.  Instead I got sent to an Instrument Simulator unexpectedly.  Nice.  I did fine though.  My “Instrument Control was pretty decent”, according to my instructor.

I should solo tomorrow, and guess what.  I got put in for another instrument-sim tomorrow morning before I go solo.   Grrreat, like I already don’t have enough on my mind.  Anyway, I got stood up again today for an EP during formal brief.  I did quite well, and I had some advanced warning of what the EP would be since I flew with the IP who gives them to us.  Pretty cool, on his part, to give me the same EP the day before I get stood up for it.  G is for “Gift”.  Whatever.

I took the Advanced Instruments test today (supposed to be the hardest, and it was) and I got a 100%.   Yipee, Scooby-doobitty-doo, who cares, I got more stuff to study for already.   Alot to do, but still loving it here.

On a purely positive note, my wife is graduating from College on Saturday and finally moving into the house here (I miss her).   I am so proud of her.  She did what took me 6 years, in 3 ½ years.   She’s awesome, what can I say.  I cannot hold a candle to her.

Way to go, D!
